I always like to imagine this song is from Jennie's pov specifically. She gets a lot of attention in the tabloids and twitter about the guys she's seen with -- sometimes verified news, sometimes just rumors -- and a lot of folks pass judgment on her and bash her about it. It really sucks, particularly because when male celebrities are gossiped about being with many women, there's very little judgment (unless they're cheating). But knowing that makes me appreciate this song more, lol, especially the "play dirty just like all of the fuckboys do" bar and the hook where they specifically say "do it like the boys say, I'm gettin' mine". Fuck the double standard.

All the girls shine in this album you should check out all of their b-sides they all showed how much they improved their vocals and rapping. I was especially impressed by Lisa she really improved her vocals so much she has a beautiful and emotive tone and her rapping also got so much more technical. However for Tally in particular I like to imagine this song as Jennie's answer to the media that is obsessed with her personal life, specifically her dating life. She's had many rumors, even recently her privacy was invaded with leakage of personal photos and thankfully the agency YG is taking legal action. Listening to this song feels like her telling people they don't own her body and her life isn't theirs to dissect and push their own narratives on. A very strong woman she is, managing to do her job with a smile on her face while her private life is being picked apart by millions and basically getting harrassed on the daily.
