This is one of the few songs that I listened to and cried upon first hearing it. The ending of him yelling under the piano gave me intense chills and sent me over the edge and cried more. Depression and anxiety speaks volumes from NF to his fans and that is one reason why fans take a liking towards sadder or aggressive music as a way to feel connected, seen, and heard. NF is able to put these emotions into words that many of us feel and can immediately validate as we listen.

He also said in Nate - "Yeah, Perception's coming next, we 'bout to reach the masses It sounds awesome, at the same time, it doesn't matter" he got depressed when Let You Down blew up like he said in the Interlude on The Search. He loves what he does and how the fans respond to his music but he's at a mental crossroad because he knows what drives us to him is the way he expresses his thoughts and struggles and he's trying to let go of those struggles.
