We all know that Tennessee fans have ALWAYS traveled very well when they go to opposing stadiums or bowl games. We travel just as well, if not better than anyone. With that being said, I find it very difficult to believe that 30% of their stadium will be Tennessee fans. It's not that I think our fans wouldn't gobble up every ticket they can get their hands on. It's just that I have a hard time believing Ohio St fans are really selling their own tickets in these kinds of numbers. Yeah maybe some Buckeye fans have sold their tickets but surely not that many. But it would be awesome if we have north of 30,000 Tennessee fans there. GO BIG ORANGE 🔶️ 🍊!!

I am a fan of college football, and a lifelong Buckeye fan. Gauging the fan base in Columbus, this year has already been a disappointment based on the talent on the team. Losing to a mediocre Michigan team is a wound that will not heal soon. Ryan Day has underachieved considerably this year based on how the team was talking at the beginning of the year. With that said, the fan base is indifferent with this team and no one knows who will show up. If the team comes out and plays like it did against Georgia then it could be a blowout win for the Buckeyes. If the offense plays as in inconsistent as it has this year, even the defense can’t help this team. The statistics are close so it could be anybody’s game. The other games this coming weekend I can get an idea what to expect. With this game I can not 🤷🏻♂️

I think on paper, Ohio St is built like an SEC team. They have speed and athleticism and all those intangibles. But maybe I'm wrong and they aren't like that across the board. Because Iowa was supposed to have one of the best, statistically speaking, defenses in the country last year. They were supposed to be fast and athletic and they couldn't do anything with us and we had a freshman QB making his first ever start. Maybe it's like it's always been where it's the speed and athleticism of SEC teams vs the big size and brute strength of BIG 10 teams. And as we know the speed and athleticism has pretty much always came out on top. Well except for the 2 wins they got against SEC schools😂.I think I saw somewhere that they are 2-15 against SEC schools. And when we play a BIG 10 team in bowl games we almost always come out on top

Most of the Ohio St fans that I've been going back and forth with (trash talking 😂) say that even if they win the Natty they would still consider this season to unsuccessful. Most of them say they would rather beat Michigan than win the Natty. I've tried to put myself in their shoes. Us Tennessee fans have went through something kinda similar. Even back in the 90s when we were in the championship discussion Most years we were losing to Florida on a regular basis (unfortunately that is still ongoing) but I would still rather lose to Florida and win a National Championship. Even though I hate losing to them winning championships would make up for that. I've tried using this metric and they say that I just don't understand because Tennessee doesn't have a rivalry that's anywhere close to the Ohio St/Michigan rivalry. And they are probably true. We don't have just one really big rival. We have several. Alabama, Florida, Georgia and depending on the year or situation, Kentucky and Vanderbilt. Maybe those rivalries aren't like Ohio St/Michigan but when combined they add up. Of course they say it's still not the same. I'm quickly finding out that you can't reason with Ohio St fans. Does this remind you of other fan bases in the SEC 😂.
@JoeDunagain23 күн бұрын
And it cracks me up when Buckeye fans say Tennessee hasn't played any tough games because the SEC is overrated and down, especially this year. I've tried explaining that the SEC isn't down there's just so much parity that the playing field has leveled out. The reason there's a few SEC teams that have a loss or 2 is because even if the teams at the top of the conference don't show up ready to play some football even the teams at the bottom will kick your a**. The BIG 10 has 2 to 4 really good teams and the rest of them are average to bad. Even Alabama fans can tell you that. You have to show up week in and week out. Plus we have to play in really loud and intimidating atmospheres week in and week out!!! Then they go on this spiel about how SEC doesn't play good competition like they did this year. They always bring up they beat Indiana, which I believe is a joke 😂. I'll give them Penn St and Michigan and now Oregon. And I said yeah yall play 3 or 4 very good teams each year But none of those teams come close to Alabama or Florida or Georgia and the rest of their games are against Michigan
@Dicki-l5y23 күн бұрын
If they tell you we rather beat UM than win a Natty and you can't understand that , and you mention having 3-4-5 different rivals but clearly you don't understand. The only rivalry I would say is comparable is the Iron bowl or the Tex/Ok. That's not a dig at ten at all it's just what it is.
