I have lived in this area my whole life, the church was abandoned for many years I think starting in the mid 90's... friends and I went in the church in high school as we herd stories or it being haunted, and or satan worship going on. we found many things that scared us, I would be happy to talk to you about it. The paster didn't burn it down, no one knows why it burned but it happened in around 2005 ish..

My friends and I visited this place when we lived in Camelot in the 80’s. It had been abandoned a long time at that point. We had some really scary times there. When I went last about 9 years ago I saw no evidence that it had burned down. Keep in mind spirits can and will lie. I heard they tore it down even tho it could be a historic landmark because it was dangerous, stability and all. Keep in mind spirits can lie. I don’t believe the church burned at all. I also heard it was a church at one point, at one point a Methodist church on one floor while a baptist church met on one floor. I also heard it was a mortuary at one point and I heard it was a Masonic lodge at some point. Also rumors of satanic activity. My friends and I would sneak in the lower left side first floor window day and a few times had the nerve at night and even on Halloween once. Most times nothing would happen except our scaring ourselves but a few times unexplained things would happen that were no joke! We always referred to the place as “the Mortuary.”

I think the Ovilus, SLS and the FLIR are some of THE best pieces of equipment an investigator could have....it helps more to see and hear much more clearly!!! Great vid guys, the spirit box session was amazing, only one criticism on this though and that was that you asked too many questions and didn’t give time for the spirits to respond, also you were all asking questions and talking at the same time, poor souls got no time to respond. I know you all want to ask questions but I think you need to let one person ask the questions or stop interjecting when someone has asked a question. Sorry guys don’t mean to be negative here. My family owns the cemetery across from this one. I am good friends with the caretaker of Beaver Ridge cemetery. I can tell you that the idle, curious and “paranormal-curious“ are not welcome in these cemeteries. Please stay out. Please understand that the people buried here are our families. They deserve respect and to rest in peace. Nothing “spooky“ happens here on Halloween night. For the last three years (2019, 2020, 2021) we have maintained a watch over these properties on Halloween night. We have run off many “paranormal“ curious people who intended to trespass for ignorant, superstitious purposes and we will run you off or call the Knox County Sheriff if you show up here on Halloween night (or any other night for that matter). Stay away unless you have legitimate business here. NO TRESPASSING AT THE OLD BEAVER RIDGE CEMETERY OR THE BRIMER CEMETERY ON COPPER RIDGE ROAD.

I use to do readings for people and I use to go into homes all around TN to see what spirits were there and I use to communicate with them for people and for the spirits. I would cleanse their homes. I have seen and communicated with spirits since I was a small child. I use to do a October month long ghost hunting, I always had a lot people who would go with me so they could see my gift in action. This was one of the cemeteries we would go to.

I live in Powell, which is about 7 miles from Old Beaver Ridge Cemetery. I gathered with a few friends at the cemetery just to have a good time and to catch up. Well let me tell you I had a Terrible experience here. I had the most frightening evening I have ever had, and still shakes me to this day. Its disturbing to talk about it.

I see you got yourself an SLS cam, you said you were at the prison investigation, they are certainly a great piece of kit, you need to take it on all your investigations. Some great stuff picked up by the SLS and ghost box. How the heck did that woman survive the mosquitos. Back in 2012 on one of my many biking trips over there, I went on a civil war re-enactment, the mosquitos bit me to to hell. Must be the sweet English blood .. lol .. Happy hunting from England.

I grew up in the area in a subdivision called Camelot II. As kids we would cross three barbed wire fences and two cow pastures to get there. We’d go to scare ourselves in the 80’s when we were in middle school and high school. Usually noting would happen but us just scaring ourselves but sometimes, a few times something very scary and unexplainable would happen. The old house or church was there back then and we would sneak inside in the first floor lower left hand window. We would sneak in during the day and it was extremely scary! A couple of times we’d sneak in at night and once elven in Halloween. The lowest floor was a huge room with a few smaller room in the back that were so dark we never had the nerve to go into. The stairs were scary with a giant square hole access to an attic at the top of the stairs with no ladder. We never went in the attic. The upstairs was spooky with three podiums, one on each of three of the four walls that looked like a preacher would stand to preach. Why three? I don’t know. We had always hear that the building had been a Methodist church, a Baptist church and at one point both in which the Baptists would meet on one floor and the Methodists on another. We also heard it was at one point a Masonic hall, and we heard at one point it was a mortuary which makes sense with the graveyard there. There were also rumors of satanic activity. I went back about 8, 9 or so years ago terrible sad to see the old building had been torn down. I saw NO evidence of a burning. Keep in mind spirits can lie and urban legend embellishes. I heard it was torn down because the building was structurally unstable and there was worry intruders and the curious would get hurt. There are NO burned embers on site. Also the KZbin picture that introduces this video doesn’t appear to be this graveyard, but once the video starts I recognize virtually every tree and every tombstone. There graveyard and building are/were in a hill in corner of Emory Road and Cooper Ridge Road. Though on a hill, the building sat below the graveyard down a slope with a rumor that the hill was dug out to actually make the bricks that built the building. The oldest graves I saw there I remember to be 1850’s. There are several children burrows there too. Those graves usually have a lamb on top of the tombstone.

The old building start as a old hospital before it was a church. I went to Powell in the late 90's so lots of stories. One is a group of friends left a recorder over night running. I didn't hear it my self. But they said there were screams kids talking then you hear heavy footsteps in boots walk up to it picked it up and turned it off. Lots of stories of people just driving by and seeing red eyes. I have been there a few times you get a not welcome filling like something is watching you I did hear some crazy screams and a light like someone was walking the graveyard but it was just a light no person. Its a creepy place. was a well kept secret lol.

I live next 2 KTown,about 15mins .I new about the Cemetery simply because that's what my Husband has done 4 the past 25yrs, Dogs and covers graves.He's covered at least 30 in that Cematery and Nobody has spoke 2 him yet,lol.They've all been perty quiet,havent made any weird requests or told him 2 leave!! But now if u went down and stird them up its hard telling what uv got started.

I saw a video recently on KZbin that a bridge in Powell is haunted. Some friends and I tried to find it and not sure if we did or not because it didn’t look anything like the picture in the KZbin clip. Sometimes these haunted videos have a scary front screen and the actual place doesn’t look the same, kinda like this video I think. If anyone knows anything about the haunted bridge in Powell and its location let me know. It also could be that the bridge was torn down and rebuild my is maybe why it looks different than the KZbin clip or it could be that we didn’t find the actual place. Also, that same video talks about rifle range road being haunted. I live on rifle range and nothing has ever happened that I have noticed and that too, the scene on the KZbin clip claiming to be rifle range, IS NOT rifle range road. If anyone has info please post.

Hello, the SLS responses were awesome. At first, I thought it was just false positives due to the gravestones, then when the spirits interacted with you, that was fantastic. That negative spirit was bad in life and bad in death. I feel that is why people think some spirits are demons. You also got some interesting responses on the echo box and lots of cold spots when touched to back up the SLS camera. It is very sad what happened to Fanny. I find it very sad that the likes of Fanny and little Anna are still there with their murderer and still being abused by him. To my mind, they are just in another dimension but still on earth, trapped with him. Maybe for eternity unless they are set free. Or maybe they can come and go and are somehow drawn back when paranormal teams call them.. So much we don't know. But it was great investigation. It would be really good if just one person at a time did the communicating. Gets hard to hear when everyone is asking questions :-) Love the SLS camera.

I actually help take care of this cemetery and while I found your video intriguing, let me share some facts about it. The stuff about the pastor burning, etc., is nothing more than a tall tale. I have talked to several ole timers in the community and have histories that have been written about the community and I have never heard of or come across any evidence of the pastor story. I have also extensively searched old newspaper articles and local historical resources on the community and have never come across anything. Something like that would have been documented. As another commenter stated, the building burned under mysterious circumstances in the early 2000's, most likely arson. Over the past year, extensive efforts have been made to further restore the cemetery by filling in the sunken graves with fill dirt and leveling some of the historic stones that are in danger of falling. I have never encountered any "paranormal activity" in this cemetery and I've visited it for years both day and sometimes at night (when keeping a watch for vandals). I think most of these rumors got started because some cult group had met in the old lodge building before it burned. There have been issues with people vandalizing the cemetery, stealing tombstones, knocking them over, etc. which is why we don't typically like people visiting during the night as it increases the likelihood of arson, someone tripping and getting hurt from the sunken graves, knocking over stone, etc. The Beaver Ridge community was established circa 1797 when the Beaver Ridge Baptist Church organized. It started literally next to the cemetery. The cemetery was established in 1815 and has several unmarked graves in it. The cemetery committee doesn't mind people visiting, even "paranormal investigators" but please do so during the daytime and be respectful, as this cemetery is the final resting place for many of our early pioneers, citizens, and founders of many of the families that still live in the area. We are very proud of our history and heritage and we want to see it safely preserved and protected so future generations can enjoy and learn from it.
