I love that not only does every playable character have their own story, but most NPCs have their own stories too. The guy with two girlfriends, the mom with a gambling problem, a little girl who's father is stuck in the Mystic ruins, a girl who has a crush on the burger sailsman, etc. Also, just going to say that the other playable characters' stories are generally more interesting storywise.

I honestly love the fact that the non-playable characters in Sonic Adventure not only have their own stories, but that their stories change just like the stories of the playable characters (for example, the mother with a gambling addiction conquers her gambling addiction later in the game). It makes the world in Sonic Adventure feel a lot more 'lived in' than it otherwise would.

Did you know that the ice level that you played is Ice Cap? The same one from Sonic 3 & Knuckles, it also has a similiar snowboarding section, which i found pretty neat

Thanks! 15:42 and 32:00 - for some reason, this section has NO tutorial, but if you HOLD the action button, you can "lock on" to targets, and when you release the button - you will shoot everything you locked on with homing shots. 32:32 - All Eggman's machines are operated either by him, or are automatic\having basic kind of AI.

If you're wondering, what to do with silver chao egg, there's an entrance to chao garden hidden in Mystic Ruins. Leave the egg there. Also each adventure field has a unique hidden chao egg and its own chao garden. Also, the light speed attack doubles the damage you do to bosses. During the tornado minigame you can shoot homing missiles by holding the shoot button and capturing the enemies in the target that always in front of your plane. Hope you have fun, your playthrough is very entertaining!)

(Don’t worry, no spoilers here) Let me just spew a bit about how the story works in relation to the other playable characters just because of how cool it is. So, you have Sonic’s main campaign, and then the other character’s stories revolve around there perspectives. So for example, playing Tails’ story and after Sky Chase, you actually see where Tails ended up after getting hit by the laser. Something I’ve never seen before in any other game and I think is very very cool!

I'd highly recommend talking to the npc's as much as you can, their dialog changes throughout the story and they talk about some rather interesting topics.

If you get all the emblems in Sonic Adventure 2 you get a secret level 28:24 that’s the master emerald, it appeared in hidden palace zone in Sonic 3K. It’s more powerful and can control the Chaos Emeralds 30:12 they may have wanted that feature in but it’s not because it’s too complicated, it’s most likely because of time constraints. Sonic Adventure had a really rushed development because Sega wanted it released for the holidays, I mean it was created in a month because of it. This is a problem that continues throughout most Sonic games (The worst case of this are in Sonic 06, ruining the game so much that it ruined Sonic’s reputation, and in Sonic Heroes, where the workers were nearly killed because of the lack of sleep)

This is also the last time the Master Emerald will be relevant to the story, it's just kinda there in SA2, and from Sonic Heroes and so on, the Master Emerald is just doesn't exist

Just saying that apart story is, is that angel island (the floating island) has crash landed into the ground thanks to chaos being awakened So what you were looking at was the master emerald from sonic 3 and knuckles And not a big regular chaos emerald This was shown in the opening of angel island crashing down

Watching you do this series has opened up a Pandora's box of childhood nostalgia 🤗 And I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I'm going to say it anyway: I think that Amy's campaign gets a little too much hate from the adventure community. I know she's a little bit slower than the rest of the gang, but it reminds me a lot of a resident evil and I can appreciate that: I say resident evil because you're often chased by a lot of monsters in the game, and are hardly able to fight back properly until the end game. I know it's not the same, but I can still see the similarities

I don't dislike a single campaign in this game. I even like Big's campaign. It's very easy if you know what you're doing, and can be beaten in 15 minutes or something like that.

Love watching you go through the Sonic franchise for the first time! Make sure to do all character stories to finish the story! (I do recommend looking a guide for Big. His fishing is not well-taught by the game, so save yourself frustration by researching how it works so your playthrough goes smoothly) Also, games like Shadow, Battle, the Advance Trilogy, the Rush duology(Plus Colors DS, the version most of us prefer over the Wii one anyway), Rivals duology, Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog, Dream Team, Superstars, are all Canon to the main continuity and worth checking out in your journey! Same goes for the IDW comics! (There's an excellent Comic Dub of them by the Adrenaline Dubs channel)

In the Mystic Ruins search for a little cave with a mine cart in it. It should bring you to a cliff above an ocean. Place the egg down and shake it or throw it at a wall to hatch it. You will now be able to raise a cute little baby

Forgive me if someone said this already, but I feel like you should absolutely play Sonic 3D Blast as well. I consider it a mainline Sonic game, at least - it got released not only on the Genesis like Sonic 1-3, but on the Sega Saturn as well, and the OST for the Saturn version is legit my favorite Sonic OST ever (just behind CD's JP OST). Not just that, but it was Sonic's actual first foray with platforming in 3D, even if it was only via isometric platforming at the time. tl;dr Sonic 3D Blast is worth a playthrough, especially the Saturn version just for the OST alone

I've been watching KZbin videos that show how much of an improved version of Sonic 06 that Chaos X guy is making that P-06 remake of it be and I've been planning that when I get my own PC later this year and a PC gaming controller, I will download that fanmade remake and try to play through the available stages. I'm truly looking forward to doing that especially because when you think about it, that whole game looks like it was given enough DNA to be a Sonic Adventure 3 one that was never given that logo! Plus I like Silver a lot, so I'm pleased that he was made to be a playable character in that game and that he also plays a big role in it.

4:35 Oh, the egg disappeared because you're supposed to bring the egg into the Mystic Ruins Chao Garden, as pointed out, there are 3 Chao Gardens in SA1, one per hub, so there's one in Station Square, one in Mystic Ruins and one in the Egg Carrier, each hub has its own egg and you need to bring the egg from that area into the Chao Garden from that area, to find each garden, you'll have to ("Spoilers" if you don't want to know don't how to find and want the fun of the search, don't click in "Read More", but since it's a side thing I'll leave it here): . . The Station Square Garden, as you already found out, is at one of the hotel elevators The Mystic Ruins Garden is found inside a cave, in there you'll find a minecart, hop on it and it will bring you into the Garden The Egg Carrier Garden is behind a door with some letters in it, you'll have to jump on the buttons to form the word "EGGMAN", then the door will open and you'll find a teleporter which will send you into the Egg Carrier Chao Garden

i've played quite a bit of SA1 and 2 on the Dreamcast and it's awesome to see you play through it again man. Honestly, even with my multiple playthroughs, I still never cared to talk to the NPCs, so I'm learning something new. Got a couple of tricks for you to use: 1. you can spam the spin dash repeatedly for *speed* 2. you can hold jump after Spin dashing to get a super long jump

You should play Sonic Rush 1&2 and riders 1,2&3 (I wouldn’t call those spin-offs). The 3 advance games and battle are ones you should maybe play too. Some people would argue that you need to play rivals 1&2, but I don’t think it’s necessary.
