Knuckles' Final Smash has him transform into Super Knuckles, so it's normal for it to be just like Sonic's. This is the same case in Project Plus as his move sets are from that game. Also, his Spring Jump is much lower than Sonic's because his glide has more usage as a recovery option along with the ability to climb up walls

That's insane attention to detail: Knuckles's Up-Special spring is yellow, which doesn't launch you as high as a red spring (which is what Sonic uses). It's also a reference to how Knuckles didn't have as high a jump height as Sonic and Tails in the classic games.

Im glad everyone is enjoying Knuckles! Not too sure why it ended up a bit buggy, as those bugs were fixed awhile ago, but nonetheless im happy he is fun! Little fun facts you might have missed, his Down Smash has variations! You can tilt the control stick forward or backwards to pop out in that direction, and the Up Throw allows you to control his movement! Knuckle-cides, anyone?

This character is based on at least 15 yrs, if not more, worth of mods. This is Knuckles from Project M. Not sure how close he is to the original Project M version, but you will see this exact moveset with pretty much all of the unique mechanics in Project+, Remix, and likely the other mods of Project M. All this time went into refining the character, so it makes sense that Knuckles looks like he was meant to be in the game, which is definitely the highest complement you can give to a modded character

This is a near perfect mod!! Im super surprised. 99% of mods dont matchthe animation frame timer if smash. Everything on knuckles does except his throws. This is wild! That AND A FULLY CUSTOM MOVESET.

@ozzy2here210 basically, animation in games runs on x frames per second (in smash its 30 frames per second). Animations use key frames to aid in specific timing to maintain specific elements while moving others. (Like how a characters arms may animate, but that doesn't mean their waist animates). This is further specified using animation curves to determine at what rate an animation changes. (Think slope = mx+b kinda stuff.) Anyway, all the animations run alongside time, and at 30 fps, it's possible that the rate of animation changes between key frames is different from the vision of the modder. Something like, For example, if smash animates on 3's or the rate of change between key frames is a shift every 3 frames. So it animates 10 "motions" per second / 30 frames. Then the modder has to make sure that they animate on 3's as well, so it synchs up well. If the modder animates on 4's (every 4 frames), then animations will feel super choppy and out of place. If they animate on 1's or 2's, then it will be too smooth and still feel out of place. TL:DR Game might be animating using keyframes on 1's/2's/3's. Modder has to match that, or it feels slightly out of place.

Well it is based on the Project M Remix and Project+ variant, so you could play those versions if you wanted to use him, but can't play Ultimate with mods like me

I think that's the best custom character ive seen so far. The others are either too broken, way too weak, too much based on other characters or don't utilize the character in the moveset enough (not enough imagination). This one is definitely Knuckles and seems fair but also good. Some things to iron out here and there, like down smash and jab (also nerfing back throw and up smash) but I like it. My fear is just that the burrow would be way too good at stalling if you cannot hit him during it.

Yeah I was just thinking that while watching. Hitting the dug hole should cancel the move and leave him in few frames of hitstun. That being said, Knuckles should also be able to cancel the movie freely.

It was taken from the future versions of Project M. I would assume a lot of the stats are the same or adjusted near the same to keep the feel of the character similar. His moveset comes from the modded versions of Project M too, which is why they look so good and smooth

bros I really loved your moveset❤👌👌, but I would like to refine your specials, so that they are more versatile and unique, for example: -Neutral: guard: knuckles makes a defensive pose and if he is hit he counterattacks from behind. perfect to punish when you get distracted -Side: Avalache: Knuckles takes rocks out of the ground (like sonic battle) and throws them at a random variable distance, small ones at a long distance, and large ones at a short distance. (like Peach's turnips) can also move with them -Down: dig: it's basically his neutral that they gave him, but for low. -Up: gliding blow: the echidna propels itself with the spring, but unlike sonic, it does damage, and then it glides automatically, the direction can be changed and it can also climb. Those are just my ideas but yours really surprised me😁, very good video and work👍👍

Leave your console on for 24 hours, then make a custom name KNUC in the character, select screen. Pick sonic with the red looking skin and select Green Hill Zone. For the other player selected the normal blue sonic. Have the red sonic beat the blue sonic and make sure that all of the destructible’s in the stage are destroyed. After that, you will be able to fight Knuckles and unlock! :DDDD You can also repeate for Shadow!!1!!1!!1 :3 Unregistered hypercam2 :]

this moveset is ripped from Project+ so Shadow is more likely since there's already a whole finished character in PMEX to port from there too (this is also where the Silver moveset came from which BSD already did a video on) Rouge is very unlikely though since she'd need to be built from the ground up!

I think that a slight buff to speed would make Knuckles a serious contender without making him broken. Also, the wall climb should last a little longer imo. Him hitting and moving like a heavy, while actually being middle weight is a really good niche. Especially when he has both a really good air and ground mobility option, but they require him to forfeit parts of his move set. As for nerfs, I would make his up smash take just a few frames longer to come out, and that's basically it. Overall, this is probably the best character mod you guys have shown on the channel, and already fits in extremely well with the rest of the cast.

Maybe for balancing I would make back throw have a higher angle so it doesn't kill so early while still being super strong, and forward air Spike hitbox harder to achieve if not every combo is a free kill lol.
