30:18 G.U.N.'s plan wasn't to get Sonic at the wedding. That was just a happy coincidence. Their plan was for Randall to infiltrate the family and get close enough for them to introduce Sonic. It was supposed to be a long-term plan that just happened to work out really fast.

I’ve been a Sonic fan since I was 10 years old and every passing scene in this movie there’s Easter eggs which I picked up 1. Sonic on top of the building in the beginning of this movie is a reference to Sonic adventure and him using the snowboard too. 2. At 41:52 the helicopter label said SA-2 which initials for Sonic Adventure 2 3. When Knuckles punched Dr eggman which made the master emerald come out of him, it’s referenced to Sonic 3 when Knuckles punches super sonic making Sonic lose his super form. Btw GUN soldiers are going to be important for the third movie.

51:07-51:17 This is game accurate. He took the Master Emerald shards and just put it back together without the Chaos Emeralds. That means that they have spread apart from each other like the dragon balls and will most likely have to be found in the next movie.

I believe Rachael's actor wanted a bigger scene in the movie given how she was used in the last movie, so that's the bigger reason we got the wedding subplot. The G U.N. units we're there because they knew the family was more than likely hiding Sonic so staged the wedding to try and capture him. ... it's still shite reasoning, but at least there's a reason to it. And Sonic didn't run on on the mountains because the snow was too deep. Try running in snow that comes up to your waist, not happening, lol. Sure some areas were not covered in snow, but running up and down the mountain would create that issue.

This is better than the first movie. I loved the OG trio of Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles. Me and my sister watched this movie in theaters and when the SHADOW revealed scene played the whole crowd was screaming(me included)😅 I’m excited for Sonic the Hedgehog 3 coming out December of this year I believe.

I recommend watching Sonic OVA movie 🍿Me personally I love watching the Eng dub tho. I also wonder if ur interested watching Sonic x. I prefer the Japanese version. Don’t get me wrong the 4kids will always be in my childhood heart ❤️ but the original version have serious moments that 4kids cut it out
