This is a parametric workflow to get a knurled look on a 3D printed part. This is not for machining.

Very nice way to get a cool surface.

Nice, all sorts of things come to mind, vases, knobs, lightbulb base, ... Thanks for sharing! 👌

Notice that this workflow only works on cylinders.

Hi, very good tutorial. How i can create this knurled on the slot?

Do you want this knurling on an extruded slot shape? (slot = 2 arcs + 2 lines)

@@KristianLaholm yes i want this knurling on an extruded slot, but how I can do it ? The knurling isn't uniform between arc and line path ! Can you suggest how to do?

Hello, can we do this application on inclined surfaces as well?
@KristianLaholm Жыл бұрын
You get the same answer here. If you are thinking of a simple cone yes but it will take time. On a more organic surface it gest a lot harder and Fusion is not the best tool.

@@KristianLaholm We are a ceramic manufacturer. We produce molds with our 3D printers. Yes, what I'm actually asking is being able to embroider patterns on organic structures. For example, patterns that are shorter at the mouth of the glass, thicker in the middle, and slowly improve at the bottom of the glass. I think I need rhino :)

Can you help please…. I am following your example when I type in Pattern_angle the command goes red when I carry on typing Nr_Pattern_circ and the okay is shaded. I would really like to try this as I am trying to master a round cylinder pattern and I find you explain thing so we’ll. Thank you

Check the unit for the Nr_Pattern_circ it should be "No Unit" (empty in the Unit box). Fusion adds mm or In to all parameters if you do not change that.
