Awesome, and than you request a copy of the part... That's how you really freeze fusion! LOL But anyways, awesome tutorial.

this works great, but when i try to scale it, it will get distorted. The reason for this is the polygon which is the base for the loft (14:33). If I chance the size in the first sketch, the loft Polygon gets out of the pentagram shape which will screw up the dodecahedron. Is there a trick to lock the Polygonshape of the pentagon at 14:33? & Thanks for the brilliant method!

It's harder than I thought. I thought you just do sketch of the base and then do some spiral extrusion.

Hi there. Do you know how to connect two current/voltage meters in a symmetric/dual power supply with the positive and negative rails sharing the same common ground? I have tried and for some unknown reason when both negative and positive outputs are under load, the positive amp meter always shows 0, but the negative shows a proper load. If I apply a load individually to the positive output or to the negative output separately, then both works ok and shows the correct amp load. But the problem is only with both positive and negative load connected concurrently, then the positive amp display shows 0, although the voltmeter reading is showing the correct voltage. Any ideas?

Thanks for this! I would always get a crash doing the way the tutorial shows. This helps me avoid the crash.

I wanted to make a design with a few hundred panels in the end during my pattern on path, I used two panels with one which was a bit shorter to give some additional design and duplicated this. When I try the thicken operation on my selection set of 300 it uses all my 32GB of RAM and freezes. I left it for 30 mins but no luck, is there a way around this ?

Wow exactly what I was looking for! Fusion is so non-intuitive, that without wonderful little videos like this I would never figure that out!.

Hello Kristian. Can you tell me how to make this into a sheet metal work and then if it's possible make a flat pattern?
@KristianLaholmАй бұрын
Creating a sheet metal geodesic dome in Fusion 360 can be time-consuming. One approach involves starting with a surface model of the dome's top half. By applying fillets to all edges, you can simulate sheet metal bends. However, manually removing unwanted fillets is a tedious task. Once complete, thickening the surface and converting it to a sheet metal component will give you a solid base.

I am in my second month learning F360 and I am overwhelmed at the power of the software and how many different ways something can get done. In simply terms if i start out with a shelled box what is the best approach to create the same repeating pattern for each wall. Would i need to create sketch and extrusion for each axis or is their an easy way to reuse the pattern. Thank you in advance.
@KristianLaholmАй бұрын
If you have symmetri you only need to make 2 sides of the box, but it will take time. If you want to make the pattern line up around the design be prepared to spend a lot of time testing different dimensions.

The workflow is similar have a look at this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/aofGpYefd5Z3e5Isi=0lbYq9lVidKVrNYm There is a lot of different ways setting up the dimensions, you often need to adapt them to you use case.

Three days in from being brand new to Fusion. I'm getting a crash, every time I attempt to emboss on this tutorial. Happens when I'm selecting the emboss surface. Have tried it without the circular ends and even tried the same thing on the top flat face of the Day 1 logo brick! Crashes every time!

Hi Kristian, thank you for your videos and i would like to know if you are able to modify the shape of an stl file for a simple shape like say a vase?
@KristianLaholm2 ай бұрын
Short answer is No, things can be done but Fusion is not a mesh-editor.

Unfortunately you didn't respect basic rules of Fusion 360 design at the end. Geometry needs to be fully constrained. The reason for this, as you would well know, is for easy modifications using parameters (the very essence of parametric design).
@KristianLaholm2 ай бұрын
I left one thing unconstrained (ONLY one thing) to give me the possibility to drag it like I do in the video. After I'm satisfied with the shape I can add the dimensions and get a fully constrained sketch.
