Does the Axis camera require some kind of Axis Gateway for KNX?

The Axis camera requires the Smart App KNX plugin for ISE. So from the camera menu you download the ISE app ant then you are able to use ETS for making the interaction with KNX! I will make a full tutorial for this, so stay tuned!

Φιλαρακι καλησπερα. Μενω γερμανια και εχω κανει το σπιτι μου με knx. Στην ελλαδα δεν ξερω ποσο το χρησιμοποιουν αλλα εδω στο εξωτερικο πολυ. Κανε περισσοτερα βιντεο κ πιο συχνα με Knx και θα δεις πως θα ανεβεις σε views κτλ

Expensive solution

It depends on the installation. For a home owner that his house doesn't have the infrastructure and just wants to control a couple of lights it is indeed expensive. For a bigger installation though it is a future-proof solution that deserves to spend more money.

Eplain the KNX / IOT please. No added value demonstrating all type of functions that can be achieved by almost any other interface / IOT technology.

KNX is a Worldwide Standard for Home and Building Control which has a history for more than 20 years and is supported for over 400 manufacturers. So for example imagine that you have a 10 years old house with KNX and you want to buy for your house a new 2019 wireless camera. So you buy the camera, you download a KNX plugin for the camera and the 10 years old switch of your house can be very easily control your 2019 wireless cam! Isn't this amazing? And this can be applied to more and more devices even to a Coffee Machine! Again the Coffee Machine will require a KNX plugin and then when the coffee is ready the Coffee Machine will dim your (KNX) lights in 20 percents in order to relax and drink your coffee!
