Of course with the train from main railway station. It is Near of centre. Train : Poprad - Tatry goes to mountains, High Tatras.

I am really open-minded and I have Slovak friends, as a Hungarian, it is deeply disappointing, @Exposa Travel, that there is little to none mentioned about the city's deep Hungarian heritage... it's like talking about NZ without the Maori culture :/
@GeeBShow5 жыл бұрын
@Kvarta B Well you have a point that it's always been a multi-cultural town, but this logic is as twisted as stating that West Germany was designed by Americans and built by Turkish... The fact is that Kassa (Kosice) was the center of Magyar culture in Northern Hungary with certainly a prominent Slovak population. Another fact is that in 1920, today's Southern Slovakia was dominantly Magyar (Hungarian), including Kosice. The thing that today Kosice is Slovakia's Eastern regional center does not erease the before.
@GeeBShow5 жыл бұрын
@Kvarta B As far as I know, Italian and French architects spread this classicist style in Europe, I think it was then a trend throughout Europe at that time. (There were some really talented Magyar architects, nonetheless.) I would not like to get into this 'magyarization' or 'slovakization' themes as they may be misleading - people, of course, tend to 'sell' their Nationality for a better future. Again, I have absolutely no problem with the Slovak people, and actually, 100+ years ago people lived together in the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy quite peaceful, it was always the nationalists who set the flames. However, I am quite shure that Slovak AND Hungarian historians shall have some sort of self-critics as they tend to create different stories instead of 'history'.

@Kvarta B like in Poland where the majority of well built estates in several towns and villages were raised by the Germans...
