Great video! I just came back from staying at Aulani. We took an Uber from the resort to a Target in Kapolei. We were able to do grocery shopping there. There are a couple of tour companies that will pickup out at Ko Olina. We used one of them to visit Pearl Harbor. We also rented a car at Aulani so we could head up to the North Shore. They have a car rental window at the convention center. The little train was running on the weekends that we were there. It looked like a fun ride. I also watched your North Shore video and it was fantastic. Lots of great information in that video!

Thank you for this overview! Very helpful! What time were you visiting? The lagoons look pretty empty.

Hi John thank you for the video it was very helpful and I really enjoyed watching! Which Lagoon is closest to the restaurants and if we stayed at the Marriott, how far of a walk would it be to the restaurants? We’re trying to see if we can stay here without a car.

Aloha! Mahalo for watching, the closest lagoon to Ko Olina center where the majority of the eateries are located is lagoon one, right across from Aulani Disney resort and Four Seasons, hope that helps! 🤙🏼

Is it a 30 min walk to Monkey Pod or Eggs 'n Things from the Marriott? Is there a shuttle or bicycles to use?

I’d like to know the answer to this too! Thanks for asking!

We were at the Marriott just last week and I found the walk to be pretty far, especially in the heat so I’m glad we rented a car. I didn’t see any bike rentals around the area.

Cool info on the train tracks. Curious as to what definition you shot in? When I cast to my TV it seems to be in standard def with no option to watch in a higher definition available. Just a little blurry. Might just be me somehow but wanted to provide feedback. Thanks for the video! Ko'olina has come a long way.

@@Chris.E. Mahalo Chris! You can actually schedule your videos to be published at a later time to avoid that but I just get too impatient 😁🤙🏼

We are staying at Marriott in July- first time in Hawaii- I have been reading about the jellyfish. Do they come in the lagoons?
@bigjohnshawaiianadventures Жыл бұрын
Normally not, but about 8-10 days after full moon you can get some, if so there are usually warning signs posted on the beach, I would recommend keeping a small spray bottle of vinegar, and apply to the sting or just use Luke warm water and gently wash it off, scratching will only make it worse

Can you buy day pass to use the resort pools?
@bigjohnshawaiianadventures10 ай бұрын
To my knowledge Aulani resort does not offer a day pass but Marriott ones do, and all the lagoons are open to the public, hope that helps, mahalo for watching!
