@@werock9 I asked the lady at a channel called KoalaGardens and she said the koalas originally contracted it from sheep. I imagine from running through pastures and then ingesting sheep ick when they clean themselves. She didn't mention how the sheep got it, but I suspect what you suspected with the koalas, only it was with sheep. Sorry to be gross. If you have koala questions, you should check out her channel.
