Thanks for the review. I want to hack a mini sewing machine so that the foot pedal and reverse button can be adapted to the Sentro or Addi. That would be great for people who are older, arthritic or not able bodied, or where a complex pattern requires both hands. The other option would be a treadle like in the treadle sewing machines or spinning wheels.

I just got my Zest Wrench yesterday to use specifically on my Addi 22. It works like a charm!! The only little problem is that the digital counter is 5 rows behind the analog counter on the machine. When I manually turn my handle, my claw weights get stuck at one or more of the 4 screw points as well. When it goes faster does it overheat sooner? If you are using the adapter then you really won’t be cranking manually except for the first row or two and that is very manageable with the handle it comes with. No need for a bigger one. The unit can be attached to the 22 needle but it is not a good fit and clearly is not meant for it. It will turn and then stop because you can’t get it to nestle in close enough for the gears. I purchased a Zest Wrench for my 48 Pin Sentro. My Sentro has a cap in the handle that does not pop out. The Zest Wrench will not work for these machines. It requires an additional gear piece that is not included with the Zest Wrench for Sentro 48 pin machines. The Zest Wrench for 48 pin machines will only work if your 48 pin Sentro has a cap that pops off on the crank handle. Hopefully in the future the Zest Wrench producers figure this out. I sent them a message and left a comment in the review. But for now if you don’t own a Sentro 48 where the cap pops out you can’t use a Zest Wrench.
