Both are very beautiful, but I think my favorite is the one with the alcohol. Thank you for sharing.

I am binge watching your videos and learning so much! Love your designs and esp. the way you teach, so helpful to a beginner like me. I'm a nurse and work nights. Often, when I'm off, I find myself at 2am making soap, (Lol) with KZbin playing in the background. :) Hello from Texas!

Have you tried with black, gray and silver for a marbled look? I think I will try that next with this technique! This is so simple and yet so pretty!

I agree the bar with alcohol was a more effective swirl. With Valentines in mind and red being the most strongly used colour for that occasion, a few options could be: 1 Using clear M&P in your heart mould with red inbed hearts inside. 2: A red heart body butter bar with a red rose bud on top. 3: Using a heart mould pour a thin red clear M&P layer, sprinkle cranberry seeds on that layer) so they appear on the top side of the bar once unmoulded). The second thin layer in red standard shea/goats milk M&P to fill the rest of the heart mould. So you have a two tone red heart bar.

I love that you did a comparison, dispersing the colorants in both distilled water and alcohol. Have you ever tried dispersing colors in glycerin? I'm thinking of trying that for a tie-die or swirl effect this afternoon.

Your ideas are so simple yet so creative. I wonder if it's possible to achieve the tie dye look with water based soap colourants.

I think the water dispersed looked really great before you did the swirl on top as it reminded me of marble but the alcohol gave a washy inking effect on the soap.

I tried this today mixing the mica with alcohol. For me, some of the color stayed stuck in the mold. Very strange. Also, visible line/crack at second pour level/location. I’ll try again tomorrow.

Hi Anna... have seen that your bases thickens very slowly. Which base you use? Is it low sweat? If a base is very good in quality, but high in sweat, then what is the procedure to keep the soaps sweat free? Especially in summer and rain. I am from India and here summer and rain is too much humid. Please reply.
@koalasoap84356 жыл бұрын
I do use low sweat, we are humid here too. But you can also wrap your soaps as soon as they are done. I use shrink wrap.
@adogcalledkuttus6 жыл бұрын
@@koalasoap8435 thank you so much for your reply Anna. Will you please teach about this shrink wrapping? Please? I have heard about it. But didn't dare to do because I am not confident enough. Waiting for your tutorial eagerly.❤❤ please show the process. Please.

@@pratikshagupta1625then don't understand why this happened.. ask Anna again. May be your base is one that melts in high temperatures.
@koalasoap84356 жыл бұрын
Sometimes it may take longer and that is ok. Just do 10-20 seconds at a time until fully melted. Some brands will take longer than others. There are times it takes me a 90 seconds but I check and still every 10-20 seconds.
