You'll see the more you listen just how groundbreaking these guys really are. They truly give zero fudges and take chances most bands wouldn't dare, all while doing it in a world class way. It's my personal head canon that these "things" are other eldritch deities that exist alongside Sleep. Like, if there's a deity for Sleep, maybe there's also different Gods for mankind'S essential needs, like e.g. Life, Death, Hunger, Fear, Love, Wrath, whatever. That mantis like thing on Vore might be Hunger, this one might be representing mankind's need for war, bloodlost or hunting, whatever. There's so much to unpack in this album, even the art around the music. So great. Also sorry for replying to a six months old comment ^^

Regarding the vid: "I come as a blade, a sacred guardian. So you keep me sharp and test my worth in blood" -Chokehold lyrics “I am hunting something and in turn something is hunting me. The beholder, the void beyond. I am the line between. I am the teeth of god.” Each song has a "guardian" as its art. The singles 3D rendered vids Each I think has certain attributes that make sense in context to the lyrics or vibe of the song. This one is heavy and powerful for example This album is the most creative album I've ever heard. No two songs are alike, some as different as Bloodsport is to The Summoning. You're gonna be surprised every time

Don't pay attention to the video, in theory it's for you to pay attention to the song. That's how the videos of the new album are, so don't make the mistake of paying too much attention to them.

I love that point of view! If that's the band's idea, I think it's great. The visuals are just contemplative, with the aim of letting the ears take over! And it makes sense with their approach to anonymity. (ST: Focus on the music, the vocals, the lyrics and the message, folks. No star system, no memes !)

I wonder if you’d like CORPSE’s softer songs, like Life Waster, Agoraphobic, Under The Weather. And I say softer because a lot of his music is the loud, kind of screamy-rap stuff 😁 which is not for everyone! But these songs are sooo beautiful and the lyrics are like a mirror and just.. So good. I also love love love your reactions to Sleep Token songs! Most people reactions are of just the music (which is totally fine, the music and sounds each are a masterpiece) but I love that you react to the lyrics too! Can’t wait to watch more of your reactions! Have you done Alkaline or Hypnosis yet?

I tried to listen to Sleep Token a while back and couldn't get past the masks, which kind of skeeved me out. Trying again, with you and finding it much more enjoyable if I just listen to the music. Good band with a good sound, and I will listen to them again.

So I've listened to a couple of their songs now. I don't dislike them, and I don't love them. I think they're a decent band. I wouldn't skip them. Maybe I'll grow into them the more I listen to them. In terms of the genre mixing, it reminds me a lot of Babymetal. They are famous for mixing genres. If you haven't heard of them Koality, I'd HIGHLY recommend checking them out. I don't know where a good place to start would be though lol Babymetal started in 2010. They started with the main vocalist being 14 and the 2 backup vocalists/dancers being 12 and they exploded with their song Gimmie Chocolate, which is not a song I would normally recommend as a first song to be honest. So now the main vocalist I believe is 25 and watching them grow both physically but also vocally has been a real trip. So if you'd like to listen to something that is more recent, then I'd recommend a song they JUST released a couple weeks ago where they did a collab with the guitarist from Rage against the Machine. The song is entitled Metalli. If you'd like to see what they were like when they were just starting out and go from there, then I'd probably recommend their song Catch Me If You Can. In any event, pretty much no matter what you choose it's hard to go wrong with them although typically it is HIGHLY recommended to react to their live performances as that is where they shine brightest. I'm pretty new to your channel. I was introduced to your channel from your reaction to Morissette Amon and I saw you did a reaction to sleep token so I figured I'd also give this song a shot and see. Keep up with the Morissette stuff too, she has a few surprises up her sleeve that I think you're going to really like. She didn't really do any surprises. She did do one, but I don't think you caught it as she only did it once. However, she is famous for her "squeaks" as the fans call it which she did once in this song along with something else, but I won't ruin it lol I would recommend her rendition of I Wanna Know What Love Is on MYX live performance. Anyhow, it's been fun watching your reactions and hope to see more soon! Hopefully you give Babymetal a chance. Oh, forgot to mention, but they're a Japanese band. Some people think they're Korean, but they're not.
