David (lead singer) was also a bit sick during this performance 🎭 he’s one of the greatest

my generation, my music, our parents thought we were crazy and screamed when we played these songs, our music was exceptional and these bands not only had messages to convey but their music and the musicians were at a level of perfection that few bands after them have matched, an era blessed by the gods, we are pleased that your generation appreciates our musical era 60s/70s, an italo-french fan

This song is about the darkness we feel when we are unable to communicate with each other, specifically relationships.. I had to look that up. To me it always felt like the truest despair imaginable...feeling alone

I would say this is a somber song and hence a somber audience. Also at the times the music almost sounds like machine guns and the chaos of war.

The radio bit goes back to the times when you could only hear "pop" music on the radio.😂😂 👏👏

You really picked a giant song for your first reaction. I remember when the original hit the radio in my youth. These guys really took the lyrics and made the song greater than before.

1972,,, I was 12 listening to "Made in Japan", and I can hear my mom screaming "Will you turn that noise down!" I grew up on Deep purple and many others like them. Real music from the soul. No pre-recorded live shows. No click tracks. No backing tracks. No pitch correction. No LIVE auto-tune. A time when people were real! A time when we expected people to be real!!

Yes it is Bruce singing !! I think that for a older man (became 66 years old on august 7 / 2024) and the fact that he has gone through cancer of the tongue and lymph nodes, then he sounds great, don't you agree? Bruce is an ICON and so is the rest of the band members of Iron Maiden, he has great breath control and voice control. One thing that makes his voice even better, that is if you realize that he had cancer of the tongue and lymph nodes. A lump “the size of a golf ball” was found on the back of his tongue and still he can sing like that, wow right? Dickinson had the tumor removed in 2015. Since then, he’s noticed a world of difference. “When it went away, I guess there's a lot more space for the sound come out!,” the front man proclaimed. “Not to put too fine a point on it, but there's no more obstruction in the way, you know? So yeah, with the high notes I was like, ‘Wow! Whoosh!’ There's a lot more horsepower in some of the high notes, which is interesting.” Not to bad by a older guy, you might want to read about his throat cancer, right, so here is the link to it: faroutmagazine.co.uk/bruce-dickinson-iron-maiden-cancer-battle-im-lucky/ . Knowing that he is over 60 years here and the he already had cancer of the tongue and lymph nodes, that makes his voice even more amazing, right?

The woman in the video was supposed to be portraying his past. She was on the cover of his first album. So her catching fire at the end was portraying him “burning” his past and moving forward.

Ren's texts are an intimate image of social reality - WHICH IS THE ESSENCE OF ART. Without it, "art" is just worthless kitsch...like say Prince or M. Jackson, who wanted to be WHITE while singing that it doesn't matter if you're black, yellow or white. Pretty stupid!

Ps. Think about them when you go to the ELECTIONS!

Life doesn't care if you like it or not - Jenny, Screech & Violet ARE REAL LIFE PERSONS...though probably with different names. The struggle for survival at the basic level is just very, very, very dirty/tragic/horrible.

This performance reminds me of a University teacher who once told me that German Philosopher Martin Heidegger's (Born: 26 September 1889) works, Being and Time (Sein und Zeit), had been translated into Japanese at least seven times. I can understand how the best of Japanese minds had always wanted to outsmart the Occidental world in their own game, be it music, philosophy or technology. Cheers to all the Wolfpack community, fraternity and all those metal fans out there. 🙂

You know, everyone is knocked out by Gilmour's second solo (the big one). I am too. But very few people comment on his shorter first solo. I think it's a jewel. A little miracle. Perfect.

in the 80s a lot of drummers had massive kits but never touched half of it, Nicko has that massive kit and honestly sometimes it sounds like he is playing more than are even present... his fills are AMAZING. I saw them first on World Slavery Tour, '84 and this song absolutely blew my ten year old mine. psst, IIRC the poem is some 700+ stanzas long... it is massive, but so so so good. ... some of the lyrics are direct pulls from the poem. - the lines "Day After Day Day After Day we stuck no breath nor motion as idle as a Painted Ship on the Painted Ocean and the following line "Water Water everywhere and all the boards did shrink, water water everywhere and nor a drop to drink" - they are stuck at sea, no wind to fill the sails and surrounded by saltwater... it is Death and Life in Death, and they basically gamble for the crew. LiD wins the mariner and curses him to tell his tale to teach the lesson Also by STC is the poem Kubla Khan (a lot shorter) that is so descriptive, the imagery is intense and will stay with you ... Boris Karloff did the voice over on the original Grinch from back in the day.
