Kevin I went electric as well on my weed eater, my old gas one was so heavy, I made a strap for it, I zip tied it near the motor and 3/4 of the way down the shaft, the strap went over my neck and shoulder, and I pretty much just steered it with my hand, my shoulder and back carried the load, play around with a piece of rope tied in different places, to carry the load, I think Julie would love it.

We have a good bit of trimming to do and so far it works great and Julie doesn't mind using it which really helps me out, and we also have the blower and it also does a good job.

I have some Kolbolt 24 volt tools. I have a blower, impact driver, 4-1/2” grinder and a hedge trimmer. I love them all. I will keep adding to my collection as needed. Get her a shoulder strap, it will be a game changer.

Frank, yeah she definitely needs a shoulder strap they are a big help.

Last year I bought a Greenworks 60V trimmer and I love it. Works better than my old gas powered trimmer and my old corded electric trimmer. It also has two speeds will tear through almost anything. One nice feature is that it came with an adjustable shoulder strap which helps the arms a lot.

Wayne, sounds like a good trimmer , I need to get a shoulder strap for Julie also.

Can you show me how to work the hinge so the trimmer can be folded to shorter length to fit inside of a car trunk?

good job and video. we have a 80 volt kobalt chain saw with 3 batteries it would have went thru all the batteries in 45 minutes. overload kicks in way to much so you lose a lot of time resettting it. when it's really cold it will not run at all. the 40 volts may be better. i hate all weed eaters so i will never buy one. i think i would write Julie on it and make that her job. happy fathers day. take care, be safe and well.

I bought one of these one year ago. I really liked it but now i cannot find a replacement brush head for it. Lowe’s and Kobalt have been out of stock for quite awhile. I wouldn’t recommend it for that reason.

Do not want a trimmer with the motor built into the stringhead. It puts the weight of the motor far away from your body and after a while that weight works on your back. You want to buy a trimmer that has the motor up near the battery. Keeps the weight near the handle and it makes for a much more comfortable to operate trimmer. If you can hold the unit in the store to see just what I am talking about.
