I was able to get one on Monday because of my ITC membership… but I was lucky!!

The Harbor Freight in Cedar City opened an hour early on Black Friday but there was no notification of that. So I made sure to get there a half-hour before they usually open and these were already sold out. I guess the employees told their friends about the early opening but no one else knew. I'll take the Kobalt boxes. At least you can get them.

Harbor froeght empoyee here we sold out first day as i am a cashier i bought 3. 2 one day and another a seprate so popular 2 per limit. Great for white elephant along with other dollar days items at the store. You reslly shouldnt waste your money at lowes paying double even triple the proce for well.. EVERYTHING

I'm really hoping for the bottom box as well. I bought the top box and it's actually a handy little box for box cutters, small screw drivers ect. As popular as this has become.....I would expect to see the bottom box soon!

Glad I held off on getting the Kobalt one months ago. Something was telling me to wait for and competitor and now there is one. Looks like I'll be going with US General.

I was happy getting the HF toolbox. Black Friday at opening, no line, no problem. And they had a few dozen stacked up behind the counter. Yes, it's a novelty, but still kinda cool.

The kobalt drawers seem to come out farther. The general drawers only come out about halfway which is why you have trouble putting the knife in the top drawer.

I just returned from Lowes. I was going to buy 5 of the mini Kobalt tool boxes for gifts. They are on sale for $12.98. But, when I got to the store and actually got my hands on one, I quickly changed my mind. The drawers are even more "grindy" and sticky than this video shows. It seems to me that if there was ANY weight in the drawer, it wouldn't slide at all. I just now saw this video and am hoping my HF has some boxes in stock. Thx.

US general isn’t in stores anywhere near me had to settle for Kobalt. I needed it and I like it. Just wish it came with liner and grip on the bottom.

The drawers don't come out as much as the Kobalt but the General is better, I got one Sunday.

Haha 50$ on eBay plus insane shipping for the generals is hilarious. Kobalts are customized easy tray and feet and hinge on the back.

Was able to get 2 blue toolboxes for the kids. I think the employees at Harbor Freight bought a bunch of them. As I pulled up an employee was carrying one out to her car. I get it but do it after work.

Kobalt is junk. I worked at Lowe's where they sell a bunch of Kobalt stuff, and the tool boxes are complete garbage. I had to build quite a few for displays, and the build quality is awful. Just my opinion though.
