He was drafted by the Charlotte Hornets, who traded him to the Lakers. In 2006, he scored a career-high 81 points against the Toronto Raptors. In 2018, Bryant won the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film for his film Dear Basketball. He holds the NBA record for the most seasons playing with one franchise for an entire career. He's an 18-time All-Star, 15-time member of the All-NBA Team, and 12-time member of the All-Defensive team. He's the first guard in NBA history to play for at least 20 seasons. He was chosen to start every All-Star Game until his retirement for a record 18 consecutive appearances. He won five NBA championships with the Lakers.

Sometimes it’s hard to see that I have to train 3 or 4 times as hard as someone just to be as good as them because they have better hight and athleticism but I never give up the last 2 years I’ve trained for about 3 or 4 hours a day and sometimes I stay at the court the whole day but I never give up and one day I will be a nba player believe it!!!!

I was fortunate to play well into my 50’s. Some great b-ball parks in south Florida and Orlando area. I practiced in midday heat for hours until I hit 8/10 threes. Sometimes took 1000 or more shots in 98 degree heat. Played games later in cooler evening. So many 4 team double eliminations can go several games until the last game. Everyone else got tired but the old guy was still popping threes to the end. If I had to add a #11 it would be... practice at least twice as hard as the games are.
