@@sce199013 pretty sure that wasn't a licensed nba product. So, it's not considered an official rookie card. That doesn't mean it doesn't have value since I'm pretty sure it still has value in high grades.

Hey Marc. You'll maximize profits by sending it PSA to grade it before you sell. It will cost about $50-75 though. But, if it's in PSA 10 condition... It's def worth it. It's a judgement call.

Hi Adam Tolli, The 96 Stadium Club "Rookies" card was an insert so it's technically not considered a "rookie" card but it is a rookie year card. One of my favorites for sure. Sorry for not replying sooner man.

Thanks for the view Ga. Yes, the topps rookie has a NBA@50 parallel. You can see it in my first video or my psa return video. Personally, I like it more than the base version or the chrome version since it has a foil base and the colors pop more.

They all have clouds. Just depends on the lighting behind it if it will show up or now. Sorry about that.

@@williestyle2345 sorry I didn't make it clear in the video. If it got graded a 10... I wouldn't be surprised if it sold for 10,000+. Keep in mind that it's super hard to get a 10 though. Out of the 3700+ that have been graded... Only 24 have been graded a 10.

Im in the process of grading all of my Kobe rookies. Not because I plan on selling them anytime soon. But, Kobe is a top 3 player of all time in my eyes. Why not grade (and protect) his rookie cards. It's not like they are going to get cheaper than what I got them for (pulled them out of packs when I was younger). =)

I recently opened a big box of cards I got at a garage sale like 16 years ago. I went through most of it and found out I have some of these cards. Any idea what I should do? the previous owner took pretty good care of them and most of the good cards were double sleeved. I want to send it into psa but don’t have that many cards to submit. Some are OC so not sure if it will be even worth it. Great video thanks!

Congrats... I would grade them if your planning on selling. You can go through a authorized bulk submitter so you don't have to meet any minimum requirements.

Right! The base upper deck shoulda been the best of the bases. The topps one looks like Kobe's about to jump to pass the ball and that's a big no-no. My favorite is the Fleer Ultra Fresh Faces.

Fully agree Mouse's. Back in the day... The upper deck one was wanted as much (if not more) than the topps base. I saw that even if it was one of my favorite. Agreed... Love the fresh faces. Lucky I bought one before Kobe's prices went ballistic. Thanks for the view man.

Hi Kix. Guess it depends on how many cards and the expected value. If you have a lot and want to grade yourself... Go to psacard.com and sign up to see the options. Or you can go through a bulk submitter if you want someone else to do it for you.

What's up Kdog. Thanks for the view. #269 isn't a true rookie because it was part of series 2. A "rookie" card is generally the 1st base card that was released for a set. So in this case... It was the apprentice card since it was released in series one. #269 is considered a "rookie year" card.

The #17 fleer sprite Kobe rookie never get any love. It’s rare and not on any lists.

Here's a small fact... I have 2 #17 sprites in my collection but none of the regular ones. =) Anyways, I think that it's not on anyone's list because technically it's not a "true" rookie card. Even though it's an exact copy of a true rookie card except with a different number and no foil. I guess I would consider it a parallel even though it kind of isn't a parallel either. It's actually in its own category which is why is relatively rare but doesn't get the love it deserves.

The SPX card was released after the season ended. Because of this it's not considered a true rookie card. It is considered a extended rookie card though.

@@TheOneyeah Hey Chris, I'm assuming you're talking about the gold foil "rookie" card. If you are... This was actually an insert card that was seeded 1 on every 6 packs. So the odds of getting the Kobe is 1 in every 180 packs. Not very rare for a 90s insert. And not really a true rookie card since it was an insert card. But a nice card nonetheless.

@@RetroHeat Respectfully disagree with you. The PSA 10 is a pop 99 for PSA which puts it at a very rare status. It's still 1996 and says rookies straight down the side. It's held up value very well with it last selling for $2650. I don't think the pop increases significantly ever with the way PSA grades now. I guess it's not very rare to find raw - but the PSA 10 is actually really rare.

The PSA 10 last sold for $2650 in August. I think the rarity for this card is not in the actual card p[ack pull chances, but the gem mint 10 scarcity for the card.
