this was his 3rd year and also his prime. even the commentator love wtching him play. Imagine him playing in diffferent team, he would average 25 ppg but clearly he wants rings than personal accomplishment.

So was that dunk over three guys near the end of the game. He would have absolutely had 60 or more in that game were it not for Tony Parker's bad play in the 3rd, when he never passed him the ball and he only had 6 points, and he still ended up with 48.

He is the most underrated player by far in history. He was the best player in the world when he was at his prime from 04 to 09. He led Argentina beat so called dream team twice.

The Suns just couldnt beat the Spurs in the 2000s decade, especially in the Mike D'Anthony era, whether regular season or postseason. Its like they always found a way to lose. Suns did beat the Spurs in the first round of the 2000 playoffs, but Duncan was injured and did not play in that series.

Goat post Marion sold
@amare1cro Жыл бұрын
I was a Suns fan back then and was always pissed off how boring-ass Spurs took care of the Suns every year in the playoffs, ofc with some dubious calls (2007 suspensions after Horry bodycheck etc...) so it was kinda relieving when Goran Dragić went off and finally took out this great nemesis. Truth be told, they were simply better and could extinguish the great Suns offense with relative ease, except Amar'e always went off. I blame Marion and Nash, both were hailed as great players and Steve even got 2 MVP-s but he was kinda a choker and Tony Parker always took a dump on him. Marion was the supposed "all around great defender" yet Manu toyed with him. But.... the Spurs were really a toxic team back then. After 2013-14 people started to REALLY appreciate them to be on the bandwagon but it is still kinda like "ummmm ok the Spurs won... yeeey.... who cares.... I sure won't be watching their highlights...." and people wanting as always to have the "right opinion" without having their own actual opinion. This is mildly annoying. I understand why Timmy is hailed as the greatest PF (5 rings) but honestly I'd take KG, Barkley, etc any day of the week ahead of him. But Manu was electric, I gotta give him that. Annoyed me as hell but this man could ball.

Manu was an absolute savage in his prime. I'd be so pissed as a Suns fan to see him dunk on multiple Suns players at once. Man had no fear.
