I love it so far. Depending on which series of 210 you choose kinda depends on how plush the cab is. Mine is a -9 which is not as plush on the inside as the -10. But that doesn’t really matter as much to me. The -9 is a solid machine and is very well built and has strong hydraulics. You won’t go wrong with one I promise.

@@MarkBarrack The 9's are awesome! I absolutely didn't want a DEF machine, shoot I didn't want a DPF machine but what do you do? So far the parts situation hasn't been too bad. The few little things i've needed have been here in a couple days. I didn't know anything about the Hino engines either but it's been great. Without a doubt the best cold starting engine I've ever owned. It's been great on fuel as well...like I said, I really like it! If you buy it send me a picture. Thanks buddy!

I dug up a tree stump one time (me and 4 other guys ) and the root ball was 12 feet wide and about 3 or 4 foot deep. We dug all around and under it with 3 rail road jacks and3 tractor jacks in the front yard next to a multi million dollar house. They did not want any equipment in the flower bed next to the house. When we finally got it rolled over something fell out of the dirt and it was a pistol

First video of yours I've watched. Surprised those trees didn't end up causing the dam to leak in the past with the way the root system went from one side to the other. Watched other videos on here where the water followed the roots and eventually became a big enough problem to cause the dam to leak. Anyway, good video. Probably not. I'm moving the spillway to the other side of the pond which will keep the field around the original spillway from becoming a swamp. Because a lot of the ponds in our area are cattle ponds you really don't see overflow pipes installed very often.

Yeah, I’ve used it a few times now. I had always wanted to build one but never did. I usually just cut the dam and let it run out. However, I couldn’t on this one because the dam was made out of topsoil and I would of lost most of the dam.

Dig most of the dam out first and put dry dirt on dam and then take the wet material and put at toe of backslope.

Yep, she’s all put back together and almost completely full. It was going to be several months before the pond was cleaned out so the wet material had plenty of time to dry out. It actually had a lot of good clay in that material so it would be useful put back in the cut.

Your tree removal technique is definitely different from what I've seen on other channels. Why did you leave that 1st tree up? I've never seen the trees de-limbed while they were upright. But you took out the later tree whole. Were those 1st few trees Bodark A.K.A. Osage Orange trees? They looked like they had yellow heart wood. They are a VERY tough & thorny tree. Would love to hear more commentary 😁

Thanks for the comment! Initially the owner wanted to cut that first tree up because it was bigger. I stripped the limbs off of it so I could get by without scratching the machine. It's much easier to pull the limbs off while the tree is standing verses laying on the ground. While standing, the tree wont move around on you. Often times i'll break the top out as well before pushing it over and pulling it out of the ground. Much more control that way. Yes, all but two (if I remember correctly) were hedge trees or osage orange. We hate them around here because they are evasive and extremely hard on cattle and not to mention machine glass...lol!

I really like it! It has the fastest hydraulic cycle times of any excavator I've operated. The travel motors are probably the strongest and has the fastest ground speed of any excavator I've operated. It seems to be built very well and it's stout. What size machine are you looking for?

I had actually participated in an online auction last monday and won a bid on a 2005 Deere 270lc, but the reserve wasnt met. I'm wanting to stay around the 25/27 ton range so i can haul it on my trailer. Does kobelco have its own line of dealerships or do they piggyback with another manufacture? I havent seen a kobelco dealer around me.

Well, that sucks you won the Deere but don't get to bring it home! Well, 25 ton would put you in the same class as mine. Kobelco is it's own manufacture and believe it or not are made/assembled in the good ole USA (Moore, SC). It's a Japanese company but does have a plant in SC, also headquartered in TX. Where are you located?

Fortunately I've not had to buy many parts! The smaller parts I've had to buy I've had within three days. Kobelco has a huge parts warehouse in TX so it's not bad. Price on parts is no different than my Cat's or Case. I'm really not sure if they have anything in Canada or not? I might have to do a little checking on that.

I don’t think I have ever posted a negative comment about any video I will now. This operator was a butcher when he was taken out the trees. They could have been turned into some valuable wood. Go on line and check the prices for Osage Orange he just lost a good amount of money.

Well, I’m sorry you feel I’m a butcher!! The trees I pulled off of the dam (hedge as they’re called in our area, and elm are worthless in my part of the country! There is no monetary value at all with them. However, some of the old school farmers still cut and use them for fence posts!

Sometimes I do as well. However, one advantage an excavator has over other machines with brush and trees is its ability to break up the trees and keep the piles higher and tighter for a more complete burn. Less overhang with the tops which requires re-stacking.

In this case yes! Trees will destroy a pond dam causing it to leak and become unstable. At that point you could lose the entire pond. Thanks for your comment.
