The good news is nobody got hurt. The operator on the excavator also lessened the damage cause by hugging the ground with the load, that’s experience showing itself, nothing beats experience, that could have been so much worse. I like the it is what it is, let’s picker up and getter done thinking by everyone. Thanks for the update young man, enjoyed watching, tell that excavator operator nice job!!!!!!😉😏😁

Just looking at the size of the chain, I knew something like this would happen !!!
@Dirtdaddy9535 күн бұрын
Yeah, it was as big as they could go and still get it through the holes on top of the box. It all worked out. Thanks!

Thanks for sharing your experience with the job. I'm glad nobody was injured, and the concrete culvert didn't break from the chain failure.

Yeah, me too! Thanks Charles!

Chain couldn't have broken at a worse time. Thankfully there weren't any injuries. Unfortunately shit happens, sometimes under control and sometimes not under control.

Yeah, know one was hurt and that’s the main thing. Just hate for stuff like that to happen!

Not to be a backseat driver but that chain looked small to me in the first vid as well for that weight. Great vid as always.
@Dirtdaddy9536 күн бұрын
Yeah, it was a 3/8 chain. The holes on the top of the culvert would only allow a 3/8 to go through, nothing bigger. So we were kinda screwed. It worked out in the long run!😜

@@Digginok Lol, thanks! Yeah it was a little intense, but we didn’t tear up too much.

I think it would be helpful to check the condition and capacity of chains being used for such a heavy load. thankfully nobody got hurt.
@Dirtdaddy9535 күн бұрын
It was actually a hook failure so not much could be done really. Yes, glad no one was hurt! Thanks!

They were. But, that’s all the county had that we could get to fit down in the lifting holes in the box. I need to make up some cables one of these days.
