Kobo has started streaming on Bilibili, basically Chinese version of KZbin. This was pretty big news since Hololive cut all ties to China after the CoCo incident. And because Mihoyo is located in China, they were also stayed away from. But now that Kobo seems to be testing the waters, giving China another chance, I guess they decided to allow her to play Genshin

I will never understand the appeal of gacha. Wow I gambled like $160 to get the item I actually wanted? It makes games with $60 purchasable characters(available at launch but you have to buy them extra) look downright generous and thats a problem.

Well! Looking in the other way If you can stay Free to Play in gacha games, which is possible in this game, HSR, ZZZ and Wuwa, it's like you get a game to play for free.

It is what it is. Free to play is an option. You can get the character you want for free as long as you're patient enough to grind and wait for their rerun. Hoyoverse games are actually pretty generous and high quality compared to most gacha games on the market.

The thing is if you play the game consistently there is enough resources to almost guarantee 1 out of 2 newly released characters. With monthly sub and a little luck you can get way more. Insane prices come with never playing the game, randomly logging in to roll or trying to max a char. I wont understand dropping 100-1000 dollars for one char but these people keep the game afloat I guess

Granted I've only played Star Rail, but I'm assuming this is true for most gacha games: 1) there are limited time banners for characters, so if you don't get your character in that window who knows when you'll get another chance to not pull them. 2) the rate for SSR characters is atrocious... I think it's literally like 1%. 3) After you use all your promotional/content pulls, you're lucky to get one or two a week from dailies. This is why I won't be playing ZZZ.
