When you're writing music not just for the lyrical message, but also for the musicality of the song, you're doing it right. Your effort as a Christian on all sides of what you do are all a part of your testimony. If you're a musician, you show devotion to God in the lyrics you write, but also as you run the scales and write the riffs and assemble a good-sounding song. This is because you're created as an individual, meant to display the image of God in a unique way. For me, it's running the drum rudiments and practing the song and putting all of my available capacity for creativity into the fills and patterns. It's going through the vocal exercises and using my skills to create the right feel for what I want to communicate. Why would I write cheap music to glorify a magnificent God? Is that not a degree of mockery? Is that not shameful? If God's truths are tough to understand and grasp, then why should I make everything easy and pallatable? Good work, gentlemen.

This guys was one of multiple guest vocalists at the mitch lucker memorial show, Mitch was an atheist, and the lyrics of Suicide Silence songs clearly show this at times. This guys sung one of his songs, even though he is christian, he didn't care, he cared about the death of his friend and the future of mitch's family. If that's not awesome i dont now what is, so why are people starting arguments about this in the comment section, it is pointless, cuz the music is great nevertheless. stop starting fires just because you like to watch things burn

People talking about how this music is not glorifying God and they are stereotyping this music as being of the devil. Well what music really glorifies God, there are a lot of Christian country artist on Christian music stations, I can use stereotypes and I think that country music is can glorify God because of most country artist singing about beer/guns/girls and all the other stereotypes involved with it. Seriously about 70 years ago all of the contemporary Christian music was seen as satanic because it had an upbeat like some not so Christian song back then. I hate it when people call this music stupid and crap, at least they are praising God and not going down another route of music.

Pugmaster45 What about people who have listened to this genre of music before finding God? Even though its not in the Southern Baptist manual of whats proper, shouldn't it be welcomed since its of God and can bring people closer to God through music? Sure, it's not the Gaithers, but the church needs to look at the fact that folks born after 1980 aren't going to be ready to get around the revival campfire and might want to seek a different style to praise God. MAKE A JOYFUL NOISE, even if it is a growl :D

Pugmaster45 I couldn't have said it better myself. You can't expect metalheads to completely change their music tastes and go to gospel music and contemporary Christian full-time. God made us the way He did for a reason. Heck, look at Head from Korn. He became a Christian and did his own thing for a while and it was a hit. His music did glorify God and in fact it helped me rediscover myself after going through two of the worst years of my life. @@maranathashalom9402 ʼĒl (or ʼIl, Ugaritic: 𐎛𐎍; Phoenician: 𐤀𐤋;[1] Hebrew: אֵל; Syriac: ܐܠ; Arabic: إيل or إله; cognate to Akkadian: 𒀭, romanized: ilu) is a Northwest Semitic word meaning "god" or "deity", or referring (as a proper name) to any one of multiple major ancient Near Eastern deities. A rarer form, ʼila, represents the predicate form in Old Akkadian and in Amorite.[2] The word is derived from the Proto-Semitic archaic biliteral ʼ‑l, meaning "god". Specific deities known as ʼEl or ʼIl include the supreme god of the ancient Canaanite religion[3] and the supreme god of East Semitic speakers in Mesopotamia's Early Dynastic Period.[4] Matthews, Victor Harold (2004). I work with Manny's Dad in a machine shop. I was mind blown when he told me his son was in a band, let alone a successful one. Manny's Dad is one of the most laid back guys I've ever met lol. He told me, " My son is bad ass," just yesterday.

Hell? Please tell me what's hell look like, what's heaven look like? You seen so familiar with these places, you seem so sure that the existence of both of those places is true with no evidence just a book a book that is contradictory to itself but yet you've been manipulated with fear into believing religion.. you've been manipulated in the sense that if you even question religion you're told you're a sinner and you're going to hell.. Open you're eyes

That's what I'm saying, I mean I've been a catholic since I was little but I've always been dumbstruck about the existence of Hell and Heaven, particularly Hell. Why does Hell exists if it even does? Is it a scare tactic that god uses To get us to believe so we don't go to Hell? And if it is a scare tactic and all Christians believe out of fear of going to Hell then isn't their faith based in fear and manipulation and this non/existent? It seems as if God uses Hell as a sort if loophole to get past violating our free will. Instead, he uses it To manipulate us into believing so he doesn't Violate the free will clause. I don't know, those are my thoughts, I still want to believe but it's getting Harder and harder to...

Brendon stacey One place is a prison of eternal suffering and the other is a paradise which you can live freely with Jesus in the Kingdom of God. I didn't come here to bash, judge, or make fun of. Just know there is someone who suffered because he loves you more than anything and doesn't want you to suffer like he did or worse. If you'd like, I will pray for you. I was saved a long time ago and wanted to worship Jesus but then Satan worked on me and made me rebellious and I was doing things to fill a void in my soul like drinking, drugs, etc. and about few days ago, I felt ashamed of doing those things because I knew not only it was killing my body but also my soul and I thought to myself, I want to feel new again and feel cleansed of my sin but I still struggle and that is where praying comes in, to ask Jesus to save us from that life of sin. If anybody on here is struggling or feels hurt and empty, I will pray for you. The road of faith is a long struggle but it will be worth it in the end and if I messed up writing this or didn't make sense it will only be because I know to get better.

Believe want you want bro I'm cool with that I'm just trying to make you look a religion in a different way I want you to face the same questions I do
@alicedapra867 жыл бұрын
1. I never said your religion is fake. I said I don't believe in your God and if you do so, it's your choice. Don't put words I never said in my mouth, thank you; 2. Atheists do not believe in either hell or heaven, since only religions have them. I used to be "one of you", as you disrespectfully identified me: I made my choices, so please respect them. I live with my beliefs, you live with yours: everyone is happy as it is, I don't mind if you're religious or not.

*Likes the music* "Oh ew they're Christian, im out" What blindness. Man I remember when I used to be a Jesus hating asswipe that listened to Deicide and all that shit hahaha. Impending Doom glorifying God in the recesses in which He is hated most, well done bros, and keep it up. We can only pray our fellow metalheads gain the eyes to see and ears to hear, but if not, that day is coming where they'll regret it all. Trying not to get boastful though it could have been any of us lol. Glory be to God!

+xBurzurkurx I'm very much atheist, and I fucking love these guys. Their lyrics might have a christian thing going on, but if we pretend it's not about actual religion and they were for example about a fictional character or w/e they're fucking sick!!
@xBurzurkurx9 жыл бұрын
***** Mmm, yeah, except they aren't singing about a fictional character and you certainly don't need to pretend. They're singing about the Truth. I dont really care if you're atheist. I as a follower of Jesus can only warn you to repent and pray to Christ to come into your life, but we'll all see Him one day in due time, some will cheer and and some will dread, and I know on whose team I wanna be on. "In an empty world, the antichrist is gonna rise and we'll have to realize, a reality beyond our eyes." That's part of the chorus... emphasis on "we'll have to realize". Whether you believe in God or not, the day will come when it won't matter what you believe in and you will HAVE to realize, but by then it will be too late bro. So many young people (mind you im 20) today choosing atheism and bullcrap new age stuff just cause it lets you do whatever you want and be your own god. That's great and all but, It really doesn't work that way dude... at all. We can't be gods because simply we are created beings. Created. Even if you believe the universe made you, you're still made nonetheless. And one day we will all meet our Maker and have to face Him. Freedom in Christ is an open heart and a couple words away. Get to know Him and I promise you, He promises you (way better than my promise) eternal life.
@sbtnify9 жыл бұрын
xBurzurkurx I honestly just wanted to show you that as an atheist I believed we could come together to just enjoy great music, but you had to try and convert me. Fuck this, seriously. No, I don't believe I'm my own God. I think that it's sad that your mentality is "people will only do good when they're promised eternal life, forests of green and metal of gold". Seriously, what the hell man? If anything the Bible doesn't liberate you, it holds you back and belittles people for being different. The Bible was written by a bunch of misogynist men long long ago as a tool to explain the world around them and put down universal laws. Unfortunately those ideologist applied back then, but today they're cavemen logic. Religion is like a penis. It's fine that you have one, but don't pull it out in public and shove it down anyone (especially kids) throats.
@xBurzurkurx9 жыл бұрын
***** Yeah I hear a lot of atheists saying that but the reality is it just doesn't matter. Convert is the wrong word, it signifying that there are 2 sides and I just want you on my side. One does not simply convert to Christianity as an institution. They come to know the Living Christ, Creator of everything. God Himself. I really enjoy that atheists can like this music, but the whole point of Christian metal is to try to get a message across. Not just any message, THE message. The gospel, the Good News. Let me give you a warning straight up right now... If you're listening to this, being Christian metal, just for the sound and you're not taking in anything you are hearing, you're better off listening to your other secular satanic whatever metal, because when Jesus comes back He is gonna look you right in the eye and ask you why you didn't believe in Him after you have heard His good news. that you are without any excuse even though you will probably be spewing out a bunch of them. that people who have heard knowledge of the truth but don't act upon it are foolish. Your better off being completely oblivious to it if you're gonna keep being an atheist. Think about that. Jesus is saying you are better off staying away from it because your time in hell is gonna be worse. Hell isnt fire and burning, its separation from God forever. Thats what God Himself says it is, the fire and burning was made for rebel angels (demons). Youre gonna be separated from Him forever with no second chance whatsoever thinking to yourself "Oh man, I was listening to all that impending doom and that buzurkur guy was talking to me on the youtube comment section to believe in God and was witnessing Him but I didn't do anhything about it oh man oh man oh man". Youre gonna be literally dying with regret and guilt FOREVER. a verse in the bible says this place of "outer darkness" (outer darkness, no fire involved) will involve "weeping and the gnashing of teeth"... idk when the last time you had a breakdown severe enough to make you grind your teeth together and cry in utter despair was, and even tearing your hair out, but I can bet it wasn't pleasant. Now magnify that by infinity, ergo, separation from God forever. Not pleasant at all. Jesus Himself also said if people don't buy into the loving aspect and preaching of love and His grace and goodness, it would then be better to scare the living ass out of them, so that they may be saved. He is saying to use scare tactics. Bro eternal life will overshadow this world and this life a million fold. Its better to live this life in total fear of God so that He may take pity on you and save you into eternal life, because by then you will be laughing and thanking Him for scaring you. Idk whatelse to say, this is as real as it gets and I've felt it, Ive felt his separation and anger, its not pleasant. Ima pray for you now. Peace and please take in what Im saying with an open heart, PLEASE
