Can we all please stop hating on Kocian. She works just as hard as Fan Yilin, Komova, and Spiridinova. Saying that she didn't deserve her medal is plain rude. Sure she wasn't the one who I thought would win but can we just be happy that 3 countries are the world champion on bars! I don't know about the rest of you but I think that's pretty epic!

+Soledad Ferrer I do agree that Kocian wasn't as good as Komova or Spiridinova. My point was that we shouldn't just say that a gymnast doesn't deserve her medal. We can't do anything about it though, the judges aren't going to change the score just because people think Kocian was overscored. And if she was, well the judges are human and they make mistakes. I say that we accept it and move on and if error were made, we should hope that they are addressed and taken care of for the future. :)

+Soledad Ferrer yeah I never liked that tie breaking rule! Raisman and Ferrari should've respectively been given there medals along side Mustafina. If two gymnasts tie for third then both should be given their medals. I felt really bad for Ferrari because she was so close to winning an Olympic medal for Italy, but unfortunately the rules were more in favor of Aliya. :( I really think they should get rid of that rule

The number of leg separations and mistakes is so high it's laughable. This routine isn't even worth a bronze medal. The judges need to get a good bitch slap across the face and need to either stop playing favourites or get the fuck off their crack. The four-way-tie was absolute shit and the judges are well aware of that. Yilin and Spiridonova are both good but not in the same league as Komova. Yilin and Spiridonova had visible errors which would cost them in a final. Komova should be the ONLY one in the middle of the podium, with Yilin and Spridonova on the left and right. Kocian up there with them in the gold spot was such a joke.

+Swan Vika no..I've always been a fan of hers. my heart broke for her in London and I've been following her comeback. they all made mistakes. but vika does pike and bend her knees, just as kocian has leg separations and bends. kocians SV..minus her visible deductions adds up. komova seems to have had a couple other we did not see. I congrarulate them ALL!!! but just stop hating on kocian. she's a great bat worker with a high level of difficulty. she earned her medal as well!!! NOW..had Vika been in top form and nailed her routine? no one could have beat her.

Nobody hates Kocian. It is the judging that is ridiculous. If you realise, comments about kocian have only been about her gymnastics. The commentators were sitting at the side of the bars apparatus, they get a sideway view. Mitch fenner and christine still were in awe whe komova finished her routine and the other bbc commentor, also said that komova's routine was flawless, the best out there. They did not give the same reaction when kocian dismounted. Kocian not only also missed handstands, but separated her legs during them too. Komova piked her laidout jaegar and she was penalised in the d score cuz of that, so the questionable part is not in the d score, we are talking about kocian and komova's e score here.

Lockon Stratos Ok...here we go. Russia is very inconsistent and tend to blow it in competition when it really counts. Aliya Mustafina has got to clean her twisting form, Paseka her leg separations on her vault block entry. I always praise US gym...Always. Nothing but respect for their handwork and consistency and also their incredible vaulting and tumbling power. I like Simone...I just think my preferred style is more in the vein of Komova. Actually, i don't much care for Kharenkova because she is only good at beam but for some reason never hits when she needs to.

Kocian clearly had the worst execution of the top 4 in this final (bent arms all over the place, leg separations, flawed pirouettes, hopped landing) AND the lowest difficulty after not connecting that opening pirouette. A joke of a result. Yilin, Spiridinova, and Komova were great, any order between those 3 makes sense, but Kocian shouldn't have been close.

She had two leg separations (inbar full and Komova), foot form and maybe a little close on the Jaeger, foot form on the dismount, bent knees on swing into dismount (like Komova) but that's it?? Her legs were glued together on the Pak to Chow 1/2, her handstands looked good, and she had good amplitude. Fan and Spiridonova had issues as well (missed handstands [big one from Dasha], pikey dismount [Fan],). Kocian doesn't have the same naturally pretty toe point that the other three have, and that's the only reason I can think of as two why in the world everyone disagrees so heavily on her being co-champion with Fan, Dasha, and Vika (other than the fact that Americans are stigmatized on being horrible on bars). While I do believe that Vika had the best routine of the four, there is absolutely no reason to be this harsh on Kocian.

Not hating on anyone, especially Fan and Maddy, but Komova should have stood alone on top. If they are going to give Kocian her full DV for shallow piked stalder work/Komova, then give Komova a 6.7 for the Layout Jaeger....she got 6.6 after they downgraded it to a piked.

If I'm not mistaken, if they had to "tie-break" like in the Olympics, Kocian would've won Gold... definitely not because of deductions and cleanliness (or lack thereof), but rather difficulty and her "E Score." Love her routine, but she needs to do something about those feet of hers.

And just because she didn't get the scores she deserved at other times, that doesn't mean it was the correct result. Judging has been very political in the sport. She easily should have won a medal at 2014 Worlds, she got underscored while at the same time Spiridinova was overscored. Ashton's difficulty at 2014 Worlds was even .1 higher than Spiridinova's! Atrocious judging.

I watched her routine and I think she deserved the Gold along with other girls. Her handstands were great. In my honest opinion, Fan didn't deserve the Gold because of her obvious errors.

+Kim Williams Yes, its a decent routine, but when you factor in the fact that Komova and Kocian both had the exact same score, it's really the thing people have issue with...The other two girls Yilin and Spiridonova got deducted properly, but they were saved by their difficulty scores. It's Kocian and Komova tying that has everyone up in arms...They just simply were not on the same level. No way at all.

Kim Williams I think everyone of the winners will use this as motivation to be better. Kocian will probably be analyzing her routine and seeing where she could improve, Komova will look at ways to increase her difficulty, Yilin will look at her execution and Daria is pretty maxed out, but she is a little out of shape, so I think if these girls make EF again, they will each try hard to make their wins emphatic so there's no doubt who deserves which medal. At the end of the day, they all got gold, so all are world champs. Komova finally surpassed Mustafina as the best bar worker since Khorkina.

I'm not being negative but I think Kocian and Yilin won't make it to EF in Rio but if they do, I doubt they'd even medal. With Mustafina in the mix Vika would get Silver at best in bars final depends if she improves her E score. The Russian team will surely increase their D scores for Rio if they don't want the same thing to happen like in Beijing. You can't win with Low D Score especially if you're not very consistent unless others messed up. But it's Olympics they really need to put it together if they don't wanna go home empty handed.

Kim Williams Remember that in London, Komova hit the LB and got a .5 deduction. She did the same thing in Baku. Had she not done that, she would have outscored Mustafina both times. Uneven Bars Gold has Komova's name on it and I think she will do everything in her power to make sure she gets that damn gold medal once and for all. As much as I want to see Mustafina at Rio, if she's not 100%, its unfair to the other girls to keep her on the team. If anything, she will surely be a replacement for Seda Tutkhalyan on team Russia. I think Komova, Paseka and Spiridonova have all stamped their passports to Rio. The remaining two will be seen, but I think it will be a solid beam worker (Melnikova) and a floor worker. As much as I want Afanasyeva, she has had her day. Time for another young girl to step up on floor...If only Grishina was 100%. She could do beam, bars and floor and put up good scores on all those events.
