I won't replace my bumper for such a minor dent. Bumpers are prone to scratches and dents at any time in the future. It's not worth changing it every time. Just my take.

Yeah bro. It’s just each people’s perspective. I literally cannot withstand a dent on my car. I would always like to keep them clean. Its’s just my take! 😇

@@recastlyf00 I agree with that. Eventually, you will learn to ignore such minor things in German cars. I have owned a Skoda Rapid for seven years now. It has only minor scratches here and there, and only one of them was made by me. The rest were caused by bikes and other vehicles while it was parked at my workplace. I learned to ignore such minor things. Now, I have also owned a C-Class W206 for the past year, and my strong heart somehow ignored an unnecessary hit by an auto rickshaw while I was stationary in a traffic jam. Anyway I drive both my Rapid and Merc with utmost passion.

@@recastlyf00 I have the same thoughts as your father. The age-old saying stands... "vandi aakumbol thattum muttum, velya kaaryam aakenda" However careful you are, some idiot on road can hit you and cause the damage. Anyway well and good that you replaced it by claiming insurance.

15kmpl on an average. Can easily get more than 19kmpl on highways. Worst I got was 9kmpl on b2b traffic

The back bumper and all will not be kept in stock. It is ordered based on need. So they book the item. Once the item reaches them, they will ask us to bring the car. Then they will install the item. Since it is a fiber part it will not be painted. So painting will be done after that. They use a different kind of paint that is pure water based. So they needed to dry it out in 2 or 3 days in proper sunlight. After that, the claim needs to be settled since I claimed this on my insurance. And finally they can release the car. So that's the 10 day time. 🥹

just curious, since you claimed it on your insurance, next year you cannot claim NCB and then I believe your premium will also be slightly higher since now they have recorded this damage

Yes, that is the case. But what's the point of simplify paying for insurance if we are not using it. 😅

The ncb is around 5000 and compulsory deduction is around 2000. So works below 8000 is better doing w/o insurance. Above that it is always better to use insurance. Also if we use insurance for a major replacement, The next buyer can verify the accident details through the insurer

You are more than 10000% correct man. My father and father in law were both like why are you getting this changed for a small dent? But for me, it's like something that always keeps me bugging. So yeah, that's why I changed it. In fact this was not even visible if you were more than 20 feet away. 😅

I costed me 12000 for i20 N line .. now after seeing this video I feel Skoda is not difficult to maintain as rumoured .

It might be the case with old skoda and Volkswagen cars cuz they are not India specific. But the current models like Slavia, Kushaq and all are not that costly to be honest. Even the first service comes only in 15000 kms or 1 year.
