On 24 April 2024, Czech automotive manufacturer Škoda announced the Škoda Vision Gran Turismo, developed in collaboration with Gran Turismo
Founded in 1895 and with a long and rich tradition, Škoda is regarded as one of the most iconic car brands in the world. The Škoda Vision Gran Turismo was created drawing inspiration from this long history, and its rich motorsport heritage.
This exterior takes inspiration from the 'Škoda 1100 OHC Spyder', a car developed for the 1957 Le Mans 24 Hours race while incorporating elements from Škoda's contemporary Modern Solid design language.
The chassis is made from a cutting-edge carbon monocoque that gives the driver the feeling of merging with the car.
Two 200 kW (268.2 BHP) electric twin motors, one on each axle, deliver a combined power output of 800 kW (1,071 BHP). The inclusion of all-wheel drive with intelligent torque distribution across both axles and single-speed transmission ensures a balanced and responsive driving experience.

2024年4月24日（現地時刻）、チェコを代表する自動車メーカーのシュコダは「シュコダビジョングランツーリスモ」を発表しました。
シュコダはその創業ルーツを1895年までさかのぼる名門自動車ブランドです。この重厚な歴史とともに、テーマのひとつとして挙げられたのが、1957年のル・マン24時間レースに向けて開発された名車「シュコダ 1100 OHC スパイダー」へのオマージュです。
エクステリアは、この1100 OHC スパイダーをモチーフとしながら、現代のシュコダがキーワードとするモダンソリッドデザインによる再解釈が行われています。
シャシーは最先端のカーボンモノコックによるもので、クルマとドライバーとの一体感を重視した設計が特徴です。
駆動方式とパワーユニットは、200 kW（272 PS）のモーターを4輪それぞれに配置する前輪駆動。合計800 kW（1088 PS）に及ぶ総出力を、前後アクスルに対しインテリジェントに配分。シングルスピードのトランスミッションとの組み合わせで、バランスとレスポンスに優れたドライビングを可能としています。
およそ130年におよぶシュコダの歴史における「グランツーリスモ」デビュー作品となるシュコダビジョングランツーリスモ。その体験のすべてに、ご期待ください。

GT7はなぜかBEV（シャパラル2X含む）が弱く、ハイブリッドが異常に速い！例え純粋に油で走るクルマの6割くらいの馬力数でも対人戦を除いて無双できることもある。 ※Gr.1カップでマクラーレンvgt、L750RVGT、ポルシェ919、トヨタTS030はほぼ無双状態

@@kousukefujisaka2571 ハイブリットマシンはブレーキで回生して加速にモーター使うからサルトサーキットとかでもない限りめちゃくちゃ速いですよねw ただPP揃えるとバッテリー切れた時のドン亀感は異常ですw 特にアウディEトロンとか酷い　ルートXでPP800に揃えたVGT Gr.1全車で走らせたらスタート以外Gr.4かなってくらい遅かった

I mentioned online that if they don't include any VRS models or older race/rally cars is a huge missed opportunity. And the Skoda Motorsport social media team replied with "Noted" So maybe watch this space

Two words: content bloat I've commented that having this car is awesome and all, but it has to be usable outside of custom race, or else it will be just yet another preety 3D model that no one will care for because they can't use it

I'm hoping for more cars to join the VGT project (and hope to have a Gr.1 version of that car.) Pagani VGT Koenigsegg VGT Bentley VGT Polestar-Volvo VGT (Note: I just hope they have a Gr.1 ver since VGT Gr.1 cars are more useful than most Gr.X VGT cars.)

April fools has passed already Now, being serious here, making a cool af Škoda outside of WRC is something i've not wanted... until now. And if this visual language gets translated into their WRC cars as well as their rooad cars, i might think their cars can be beautiful again (in my opinion, the current cars are quite ugly)

Skoda only make it to GT7 as a concept supercar only, consider Skoda Rapid, Fabia RS twin charger, Octavia and Superb. Also bring in the SAAB.

I strongly agreed! However, Volvo, Polestar and Lotus are in the Geely universe now, that is a Chinese holding company, so very unlikely for this pro-Japan Japanese game company to add them.

VGT was interesting in the beginning on the times of GT6. But I think it's now oversaturated. All cars lately look almost the same (atleast body wise). You could put any manufacturers logo on this cars. I hoped VGT would be like a GT3 on steroids that could have been a unique category to the GT franschise. But the majority are futuristic cars that people seem to be fed up already. Well I dont have GT7 so don't know if racing with these is well done.
