There is something someone famous said (can't remember who) about drugs that just sums it up perfectly. "Drugs are so good, they will ruin your life." That's really the long and short of it. Drugs are amazing. You can dissappear from yourself for a while and they are FUN. But they always turn against you. Always. No matter what. And then your life is a shitty mess. So don't do them.

Yes let's put our faith and hope in a religious figure from thousands of years ago who's not been seen or heard of ever since. That seems like a good idea.
@bishyeahbish37582 ай бұрын
We supposed to believe in jesus and the bible that was written by people who had never met God and didn't know a single thing about him (just the same as we all are nowadays) and we're expected to treat those writings like they are the absolute truth and then trust that between then and now they are all the same words that have never been changed in thousands of years....even though we all know that if a message is passed on to five different people it will always be different to the original message when it reaches the last person, but, we're supposed to believe that didn't happen over the course of more than 2000 years?! Bruh😑 c'mon now bruh, let's be sensible about this. I believe that there must be a god because the world and everything on it couldn't have appeared from nowhere, and whether you believe in evolution or not you can go back in time as far as you want to and you will still reach a point where something/someone had to be responsible for that being there, such as the dinosaurs, cavemen and everything before and since then didn't just appear out of nowhere, so, in my humble opinion I'm convinced that there's a higher being that I sincerely hope we meet when we die and we can have the answers to the questions we've always had (I mean, that would just be amazing if we go to heaven and we can live there in a world that doesn't have the evil we have here). I like to think we can see our loved ones who went before us and we can be part of a world where nobody suffers, where everybody shares and helps eachother and there is love and trust and I can't even imagine what else but everyone gets their own heaven, who knows.

As someone who was an opiate addict for over 10 years, I can’t stand ppl saying it’s percs. When that’s just what rappers call every kind of pill known to man. The way he was acting on stream was from uppers and stimulants. He was either popping high mg addy’s or X pills. Period. He does take opiates though and he’s been seen to nod out and have a raspy voice but whenever he’s acting crazy or being weird, it ain’t the “percs” I think he’s just a poly drug addict. Meaning, taking anything he can get his hands on. Regardless, it’s sad and people don’t get sober until they want it for themselves!!! I hope yak can get it together before it’s too late!

@turbocateyeS4752 ай бұрын
I just said the same shit. Kodak and the whole comment section claiming it's percs. Next they'll claim it was fake percs like Fentanyl somehow affects you completely different than other opiates. That's not how that works. Maybe if it was sold as fent by the Chinese and it's really a stimulant that got pressed into percs but even that doesn't make sense. He could've taken a perc to come down tho and maybe that's all he wants to admit to. But I've seen people act the way he was off K2, Adderall and sometimes bath salts something similar has people tweaking like that. We have videos of Kodak on opiates, there's also videos of him on coke. Neither one does he act like this. Yes opiates can motivate you, especially when you start. They'll give some people energy to do shit like clean the house, be more outgoing or even skate "better". But if you take it long term and increase the dose that part doesn't last long. Pretty soon you're just nodding out or feeling like shit. You don't magically become a tweaker.
@turbocateyeS4752 ай бұрын
@@SergeantHaze0711that's not how that works. You know what percs are now. 20 years ago they didn't talk about pain pills at DARE assemblies. They didn't tell you heroin and most pain pills are both opiates. They didn't talk about prescription drugs at all. Doctors were writing hydrocodone prescriptions for stomach aches and giving big bottles of Codeine syrup to 15 year olds. People trusted and still trust their doctors. Some people handle pain better than others too. There's a million scenarios where someone "tough" gets on opiates. It's a toss up whether they get hooked or not. But taking them doesn't magically make you a junkie. You don't take one perc and suddenly you're on the streets selling Bussy for fake percs. You aren't special because you didn't take them and you aren't somehow immune to addiction. If it wants you it'll get you.

Shit maybe even understand what you could’ve been and what you could’ve done even if it was work or go out with friends rather then sit at home with withdrawals. Depends who you are bro but it all plays a part as the drugs break you down over time, at one point you can choose to continue the lifestyle with no thoughts to recover or go through the couple weeks of suffering and determination to take those couple steps to freedom. I’ve seen many people lose themselves to drugs including myself but as we speak I never thought I would be where I am today. If you have people who influence you to pop that pill ‘one more time’ then cut them out whether it’s forever or until your clean but in my opinion help yourself before you help others, of course do not leave your friends to suffer but instead give them the advice and motivation to prosper. Really have had real Actavis in its prime, hydrocodone pills were my drug of choice before Roxy had its first stronghold, and I’ve been addicted to oxy and Xanax ever since I combined them. This documentary touched me Lou. I can tell that you care. I been fighting for sobriety for 20 plus years. Pray for me…I just want to know what normal life is without having to have a substance dependency ❤💯🙏🏼

As a recovering addict, with 7months clean and pushing forward. I was listening to this brother on KZbin name “RECOVERY DAN” and when he said “IF NOTHING CHANGES NOTHING CHANGES “. That saying made me leave work and check into a rehab. I say all of this because,KODAK IS A VERY TALENTED BROTHER ,BUT HE HAVE TO WANT IT FOR HIMSELF. He has to be sick and tired of being high. I think that when u have life changing money, it can put a person further into their addiction. But “IF NOTHING CHANGES, NOTHING CHANGES”. I wish that brother the best and that he want better for himself. It cannot be done for anyone else. That fentanyl it crazy to get off. Trust me I know…. 💯💪🏿👍🏿

Battle. Demons. Trauma. People throw these words around and i know they mean well... But you DONT KNOW until you been there and have come back. And you DEFINITELY don't know the meaning when you're still there because the drugs are holding all the shit to the side when you're high. And thats all it does. Saves your pain until later. You gotta pay the piper sooner or later one way or another. He doesn't see it as people caring about him. Yet. Stopping is so painful and traumatic but it does get better and people DO recover. I wish i had the answers. I wish someone anyone had the freaking answers. I think it seems like its getting worse and more people are getting sick with addiction but i truly think the drugs themselves and what they are and are not made with is a good portion of the problem. One thing i think is for certain is that mocking people and infantilizing them isn't going to help. People need to be able to see a clear and concise path to getting sober and dealing with everything all at once. Its beyond rough but definitely possible. Sorry imma step off my soapbox this was just really upsetting to watch. Hope he gets thru this. Lord knows he has more resources to do it safely and comfortably. More than most people out here. 💜

Very well said, I agree i think quite a few factors are at play. First addiction has been stigmatized. only very recently has it been discussed more openly in any setting so many people just don’t understand addiction and it’s not for lack of wanting to know it just isn’t really taught or explained in a DARE like program lol I’ve been sober for 7 years and i won’t lie some of my worst years have been when I’m sober. Because when you start using and drinking you don’t develop the skills needed to get through adversity, because substances block that out. For me when I removed those substances I realized wow I’m still extremely messed up in the head lol and that made me more depressed! You have to develop those skills and you can’t even start to do that until you’re sober. And this process sucks for friends and family because you can’t do it for them, they have to want it. And I will say a large % of people do mean well, but sometime it comes of exploitative whether or not it’s intentional. And it is more prevalent in 2016 Alone more Americans died from opioids then the entirety of the Vietnam War. Ok I’m going to get off my soapbox too 😂
@MidTierVillain2 ай бұрын
The withdrawals are what keep ppl from taking that leap into recovery- you definitely need help to come up off certain drugs, those withdrawals are a couple levels of hell to get through.. knowing that hell is going to last a week, maybe two, if you’re a heavy user of that drug- the bigger the tolerance, the harder that hell is going to be to crawl through.. going Cold Turkey is the nightmare EVERY addict that wants to quit envisions. There needs to be something for that to help heal this world of addiction, because majority of addicts(99.8%) don’t have health insurance, nor money to get the help they truly want.. Withdrawals are not like the flu either, nothing close to it, maybe a percentage of it.. like a very small percentage.. but, withdrawals are a different devil on its own, and experiencing that gives you the awareness why certain ppl do certain things to avoid that. God bless everyone in the struggle, I pray everyone makes it out to the other side.
