My favorite b&w film is Kodak Tri-X (also called 400 TX). It really captures all colors in shades of grey that is very pleasing to me! Great work on your video! I’ve tried JCH in 120 only so far,and it does have great contrast! 👍🏻

Yes. Tri-X comes up a lot. I will have to give it a go. Thanks for watching, I appreciate you 🙏🏽

I've been using Ilford Delta 100 B&W 120 roll film for the past 3 years. It has just the right amount of contrast with detail in the highlights and shadows where you need it, it's not too expensive, and consistent results. I have my negatives scanned and with only a minor adjustments in photoshop, the images look awesome. You might want to try ISO 400 for street photography. Nice to see you shooting B&W! Keep the great videos rolling! 😎✌📸

Thanks for adding to the convo, Rod. I think you're right, iso 400 would make more sense for street. Only way to know is to try it.✌🏽🙏🏽

I shoot with Rollei mostly due to the nice flat and transparent negatives. Rollei is not my ideal film based on output but it is so nice to work with. I do a hybrid workflow now as my darkroom days are gone due to limited space. I learned through feedback that low contrast films yeild my biggest sellers. I hear so many comments from buyers that they love the framed prints they bought because they 'look like paintings' or they 'look vintage'. Most of them were on Berrger or illford films. I dislike high contrast films. With Rollei, I do get contrast but I can alter it in post to give that same result of the other films I mentioned. I hate the Kodak films. Curvey negatives and high contrast that I cannot reverse. My number one seller is of a bike shop in France that was shot on Bergger 120. It looked more like a charcoal drawing than a modern day photo. I have it in my office. I get numerous comments on it almost daily. Low contrast and that charcoal drawing look or what some might say as the 'Leica glow'...it was shot on a vintage Leica with the Summitar 50.

Thanks for the insight, my friend. Your experience with Rollei sounds like my ideal output. You basically have control over the amount of contrast that is added. I think I have a roll of Rollei somewhere. I want that throwback feel in general. Berrger, I've never heard of. Ill have to do some research. Much appreciated.
