Kodak Ultramax is the ultimate colour Beginner's Film: fast, flexible, and forgiving of exposure errors! In Kodak's technical description they discuss that Ultramax 400 gives better results than other entry-level colour films with zoom lenses, it has greater flash range, can take better ‘stop-action’ photos, and will show a reduced impact of camera shake.
All of these are down to the fact the the film needs less light to capture an image - so it takes less time and all the above things are possible.
Kodak Ultramax 400 uses the same T-grain emulsion as T-Max, which are known for producing finer grain and lower contrast than ‘normal’ emulsion, so you know that the chemistry is there to back-up the marketing claims!
Brilliant for holiday snapshots in a variety of lighting situations, and perfect for late-night parties.
