I wouldn't say he sounds amazing. But I do think he sounds better live than the recorded version. That's because they recorded this song years ago, and since have played a ton of shows, and his voice has gotten stronger because of it. He also enunciates more clearly now. It doesn't sound like he's saying "life's too short to eat a carrot whole" here. On the record, it does.
