@@garyrae3914 I'm so sorry for your loss. Siblings are (mostly) gifts for us, I know. My brother is still alive but sadly we have no contact. His fiancée doesn't like me and open up her mind to him and to all her hate about me. His picture of me changed because of this fact, also his own identity. It's really sad even when you know your sibling bond was a great one. Therefore it feels like to have no older brother after all. Do you want to speak about your older brother? I think he was a lovely person, isn't it? :-)

@@CJ55981 I can feel your pain, because I'm very emotional. I feel the same thing to be an aunt to my sisters kids, but she doesn't want that I be with them. She is very narcisstic and wasn't very friendly to me in my childhood and later years. It's different, yes, but close enough to understand what your feelings about. I always want to be a big sister too, but the best thing is, that you could be it for him, if there are some really important steps are taking. I know your fear, but the thing is "What if" is one of the worst combinations in life, if you don't do anything to change your life. Sometimes it's better to do something and maybe it changes your whole life and your step-brothers life too. You have to do some small steps. I know it's difficult but I think you can do it and you can be successful in this case. I think to overthink everything is to much for you and your feelings. You have to think you have some cousins and you're very close with some of them, that means for me that you are a good person which can create wonderful bonds. That bonds are your security to make your other steps to move on to your destination. You have the heart, that dream and trust your feelings and make it happen. ⁠​⁠@@rikegauert6253 I’m so sorry. I understand how you feel even though I never went no contact with my big brother, my mom has been trying to force me to. She won’t actually admit that she wants me to go no contact with him, but she and her boyfriend treat me like shit if she sees his contact on my phone or something like that (I’m a minor, so she can technically still look through my phone.) I hope you and your brother can find some way to reconcile. It’s very tough to not contact with your family members.
