Kodava homage dance
The Kodava warrior clan of South India worship the nature and their ancestors. This performance we see here is called the 'Anga Kali' and is an offering or a goodbye by the bereaved at the burial of the head of the family. The participants are not the family members but are a different tribe which is usually attached to the deceased's family over generations and perform rituals on occasions of birth and death in the family.
In memory of Late Kaliyatanda Achamma (Pattedara of the family).
Bereaved artist (in white) is Upichha of the poleya tribe.
