Great video, but your wrong on the ferry boats, now the only ferry from the Kenai Peninsula that will get you to Kodiak is the tustemena, and it only leaves from Homer, and it’s more around 11 hrs depending on the weather. The ferry used to leave out of Seward, no more. Only the kennicott leaves Kodiak only approx once a month for the cross gulf trip heading south. Just saying.😉

Absolutely great information video, thanks for posting. Spent a year and a half on Kodiak with USCG from November 1978 to June 1980 and experienced all seasons and weather from good to bad! Caught a lot of fish...salmon, rainbows, dollies, grayling, but never got the chance to get out on a boat for halibut and such. Great memories! Hopefully will be able to afford to get back up one day before I get too old... would be a long and expensive trip from NC! Thanks again for this great video.

How much may I rent a tin boat and angle for rockfish and flounder, and small halibut

I'm not aware of any boat rental services in Kodiak.
