A wonderful piece by a fantastic composer. Koechlin is underrated and not played enough. He belongs in the pantheon of all-time great composers.

Immense génie du XXe siècle encore beaucoup trop méconnu ! Merveilleux Charles Koechlin !

Koechlin's music needs to be played more often.

- hr Sinfonieorchester - Ariane Matriakh. I must admit to not hearing this piece of music before but it won’t be the last. The orchestra are very talented musicians and perform this so well. It’s a delight to hear the different musical instruments being played to such a high standard. It’s a wonderful experience to watch and listen, from an outsiders point of view. It’s very moving to see everyone is doing their own individual bit to make it sound wonderful. Thank You 🙏 for sharing this music with me.

Seek out his 'Seven Stars' Symphony' CD on the Capriccio label with this conductor; I think you'll enjoy it.

Einfach wundervoll!

I couldn't refrain from giving this a "thumb down", but not for the fine performance, only for the soporific music, which would be apt accompaniment to watching grass grow, or as effective treatment for insomnia (which opinion I hold for nearly all of Koechlin's works I've heard). If I want to hear atmospheric music, I can rather listen to Delius or Debussy (but in this instance I didn't, because this is the FRSO performing, after all).

Damn Ronald, I enjoy your comments whenever I see them on classical music videos, but you're getting annoyed a lot these days aren't you? Haha, apparently Aaron Copeland said the same of RVW's pastoral 5th symphony. I rather enjoy this type of thing, but you can always click away you know? This is youtube after all. Why dislike anything at all? Cheers!
@ronaldbwoodall26283 жыл бұрын
@@Minabezerai I never "click away" from a work I choose to listen to on YT because I want to give it my full attention and a complete chance to form an (admittedly subjective) opinion about it. And I'm always willing to hear anything performed by the FRSO. I'm sorry that Copland disparaged one of RVW's masterpieces; I can only reply that if he had understood or appreciated it, his own music might have been imbued with a deeper and more spiritual emotional content.

I am afraid you completely missed the point...
@ronaldbwoodall26283 жыл бұрын
@@grandisdavid It just doesn't speak to me as meaningfully as Delius or Debussy, but regardless I do usually have trouble appreciating most "impressionistic" music fully; I'm sure that I'd be more enriched if, or when, I could increase my enjoyment of it.
