He was not gushing blood; the pianist had a previous injury (small cut) on his finger prior to concert. He refused to stand out of the program, & played regardless. Left just a bit of a red tinge on the ivory keys. He played beautifully regardless. The mark of a true professional. We a bleed for what we love at some point.
