The balance of this guitar across the fretboard, from soft to loud -- and highs-mids-lows -- is amazing.

I'll never forget playing one of these in your Chicago shop. As a novice at the time I wasn't worthy to make an informed critical assessment, but I did immediately realize that it was like holding a living animal in my arms. The entire guitar resonated warmly with every note into every contact point woth my body: thighs diaphragm & ribcage, right forearm. The same resonance under my left hand fingertips prompted the next note. It nkw seems through more seasoned eyes that playing this guitar is an interactivity - not passive - experience. Listening amd feeling ot's response to your input and taking those cues as you play through is an incredibly exhilarating and rewarding experience as can be gleaned from the player in the demo. I wonder how this would perform in a swing band rhythm context - even as a launch pad from which to adapt. I suppose that might be robbing it of its full.potential, but after one listens to Freddie Green's inspired and rare soloing at Carnegie Hall with the Basie-Goodman orchestra the mind ponders...

Fantastic sound. Is that a hard maple on the bridge to accommodate the steel strings or one of the harder soft maples? I was expecting an ebony cap or some such thing but my instincts were wrong.
