Oh my goodness, people try to find fault in every situation. Without you explaining why you bring the phone for Ananda, I already knew why...ENTERTAINMENT! You both are attentive, great parents, and I love seeing all 3 of you in your videos. Great comment " If you want to come babysit, apply below." I hope you feel better soon. I live in Northern Florida, and despite the warm temps, I have been sick all throughout the winter, so I feel where you're coming from.

Do You ever get sick of the street food? Any tips and tricks to keep it on the safe side? Going to Koh Lanta in a few weeks.
@darrenb35 жыл бұрын
I've been eating street food almost daily since I moved to Thailand in April 2012 and I am not sick of it by any means. I'm careful with what I eat. If I buy chicken and it is not cooked all the way through I will either microwave it for a few minutes, or put in in a bin, depending on where I am. If the food doesn't taste right, or smells strange I put it in a bin. At restaurants I check my plates and cutlery are dried thoroughly and if they have any water, I dry them with the tissues provided on the table before using the plates. If a street food vendor or restaurant doesn't look clean I won't eat there. I did have an issue with some street food I bought a few months ago. After I took it home I left it on the cupboard for around 6 hours then put it in the fridge for 4 days. After the 4 days I microwaved it and had stomach issues about 6 hours later. That wasn't the food's fault, that was irresponsible food handling. I know a few people (about 6) who have got sick while visiting here and they all believe it was from their hotel restaurants. I eat what the locals eat and that seems to work for me.

Nice video, I'm thinking of visiting Koh Lanta and this food looks amazing. I noticed a lot of women are wearing the traditional Muslim headscarf. Is this area predominantly Muslim instead of Buddhist? (please no one take this as a negative remark, it's not - simply a curious question). Thanks again for the nice video.
@darrenb35 жыл бұрын
Thank you. Koh Lanta has influences from many cultures: Buddhists, Muslims, Chinese and the the original inhabitants, the Chao Lae (often referred to as Sea Gypsies). Nowadays the majority of the population there are Muslim, many areas in southern Thailand have large populations of Muslims. Do visit Koh Lanta, it's a great place and I'm sure you will love it.

Sorry! to you had a cold mate..🤧🤒a little 'bug-juice'/100 proof can help, if you are the type? Otherwise garlic, ginger, onion juice in abundance and *melatonin taken frequently boosts immunity believe it or not. Excellent beach scene!!!🏖️, did not look took hot?? I forget the name of that "train" character?? your son certainly enjoying a clean toy, clean fun. It is good to see that kind of upbringing Darren, good show mate!!! You both really enjoy "chicken feet"? Mom used to put into Chicken soup, it added flavor, and an element so that when the soup was poured into bowls, and cooled, it would 'set-up' like Jell-O gelatin. Making for a cold salad, when cooked veggies, and shredded chicken added before cooled. Your weather is having us "groaning"😲😵 over here !! So nice and inviting, pleasant scenes etc. We are poor people who will never make the trip. But again, we really appreciate you sharing your abundance with us. Very happy for you and yours. Did you ever expect to find yourself in "paradise" ?? Well done mate...and on we go looking forward to next week🚀🚀🚀 Thankyou very much.

ONLY PARENTS CAN DECIDE HOW TO DISCIPLINE THE CHILD. ANANDA IS NOT A SCREAMING WHINNING CHILD. CHILDREN IN THE SHOPPING CENTRES WHO SCREAM IN A HIGH PITCH NOISE AND SWEAR HATEFUL WORDS AND THROW THINGS AT THEIR PARENTS ARE THE REAL MONSTERS. One thing that Thailand is going to have to deal with is overfishing, particularly underdeveloped fish. Some of the tuna they were selling are babies. Great way to wipe out your ecosystem.
@darrenb35 жыл бұрын
Yes, that is true. It's not only Thailand over fishing is a massive problem, it's global. Some years ago the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization estimated 77% of fish stocks around the world are between the levels of fully exploited to depleted. www.fao.org/newsroom/common/ecg/1000505/en/stocks.pdf
