Was at Koh lanta in februari this year. The street food on the Walking street was superboring, like 10 kebabs and one Sellings ice cream, No thaifood at all :/ (got revenge on that when we wont up to Chang mai tho) but koh lanta was still amazing. The resturants was great, activities was so much fun as we went snorkling at koh rok and hiked up Dragons crest in krabi etc etc. There is so much to do and see in Thailand both in the south and the north. I really recommend people going to Thailand and see how amazing it really is.

That crab dish & chicken wings looked good. Wish I could reach through the screen & had me a bite or two. Love me some crunchy chicken wings. And grilled corn is good anytime on the grill cooked like that. We always put some butter & wrap it up & put it on the grill & let the butter get on every kernel. Oh that's good to. I like to put a splash of lemon juice w/salt, pepper, garlic powder, & what every spice I have in the cooking cabinet on mine. It's yummy. They sale it @ all the fairs. Is it summer there right now. Bc it winter here & I'm cool like an ice cube. Watching you all @ the beach I was day dreaming it was summer here... lol... Happy eating guys, Chris from Missouri
@darrenb36 жыл бұрын
Hahaha, yes they were rather tasty Chris ;) Your corn sounds delish, I'll be calling you for some if we ever visit the USA! It's actually our winter here too 🤣 it never gets cold here. Happy eating to you and hubby too

Cool stuff, Darren. Can you recommend a good guidebook for Thailand islands and beaches?

I think Koh Lanta is the most under-rated Thai island. People of any age or sex can go there and have a beautiful tropical beach experience.

Nice looking red curry with chick/Potatoes. I like basically a "stew pot" now and then. Certainly some night life considering the location. Prawn🦐 size really gets up there i noticed !🦐. Was it *hot pepper on the 🍕 pizza? Look like a version we could use here. Again the 🏖️beach, the weather, nice people, and it didnt seem to crunch your bank account?? Thank you for the trip, nice when i don't have to drive🚜
@darrenb36 жыл бұрын
I could go a stew at the moment myself actually Ross. The pizza was spicy from chili, not pepper. Yes, it's a great island and not overly expensive, we loved it there.

Hahaha, thanks Carl. In March it was 4 years that I have been making weekly videos. I needed a little down time as all my free time goes into making videos and I have a lot of other time commitments too. I decided I deserved and had earned some "me time". The weekly videos will be back this week 🙂 In the meantime I've been still been updating our Facebook page, you can see what we've been up to there: facebook.com/thailandvideos/ I hope all is well with you too!.

Nice, miss Lanta even more now :-) How about the road construction? When I was there back in October 2018 it was quite messy :-) Does the Thai people understand your Thai with the Australian accent ? :-)
@darrenb36 жыл бұрын
Road construction didn't bother us while we were there, we saw some, but it didn't cause us any issues. No Thai person has commented on my accent yet, the only comment I seem to get is "Pud Thai gaeng mak" (You speak Thai very well) :)

How old are you all if you don't mind me asking? Keep up the good work! Also, what do you all do for work? Is KZbin your sole income? Thanks mate.
@darrenb36 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I am 48. KZbin is my hobby, I do it for love, many of my videos cost me more to make than I get from KZbin revenue, without even considering the many hours I spend editing (for example last week's video has so far made about $12, the meal at the first restaurant we visited in that video cost $27 and I spent around 25 hours editing it). I work as a teacher, and that allows my family & I to have a home and to eat :)

What is it with Thai food Darren, they put so much sugar in there dishes, I always ask for no sugar. Give me spicy anytime. I once watched a girl put eight spoons of sugar in a bowl of street noodles, I could not believe it. Nice vid, thanks.
