I agree with Haddin, anything can happen, Hazelwood and Cummins can run through the indian batting line-up in the morning session and Australia can chase down the target in 2 sessions. And on the wider spectrum, India can bat for 4 sessions, give target around 500 and bundle out Australia within 200 runs

About the pitch. A lot of people were complaining that if 17 wickets fell to spinners on day one the pitch would be rated substandard. But 17 wickets fell to fast bowlers and the pitch is supposed to work for them on day one and not spinners. Excellent Perth stadium pitch.

Australia batters normally impose themselves when they bat I only see Head and Marsh posing that threat to take on the Indian attack. He was never given a regular place in the team, and whenever he was selected, he faced a stepmotherly treatment-he was never played at a fixed position. No comparison to this pitch and the intentionally created dust bowl. The pitch here is consistent. On day1 both teams used somehow colder weather around, helped ball to swing a bit more. Day2 was sunny, Day3 will be more sunny. I won’t rule out aussies batting well too. So, India can’t take off from the pedals. Keep pushing to get 400+ lead to make it very hard for them.
