Koi Pond Build. DIY Filter. DIY Nessus Filter. Moving Bed.

This is part 9 of my Koi Pond build. In this video I show you step by step on how I build a DIY Barrel Filter System or Moving Bed Filter. Once the pond is up and running I'll do an update on how this filter actually works.

Pond size 12"x8"x5" Approx. 3590 Gallons
Box-weld liner
Pond walls Earth and Railroad ties (sleepers).
Railroad ties 7"x9" 3 layers stacked to get an above ground height of 27 inches.
Dug down 33" and install a Koi Toilet 3" bottom drain.
Overall water depth will run about about 58 inches.
24"x48" glass viewing window.
Filter system #1 DIY Sieve into 3 55 gal barrel moving bed system.
Filter system #2 Pond Skimmer fed into a Bakki shower system.
Might try to incorporate some aquaponics in down the road.
