You should also check the strength of treatments, the Acriflavine you showed only contains 8g of Acriflavine per litre, the Kusuri one contains 10g per litre and the EA one contains 20g per litre. It’s the same for Malachite green and Formalin there not all the same!!!

Hi Tony, correct mate but I'm just advising what I would keep on the shelf. Didn't feel the need to go into dosing as like you say different products require different dosing and its down to the end user to correctly dose. I may touch on that in a future video 👍

Hi Matt, great advice!! but when you talk about pond salt can you please let people out there know the types of salt to use and the types to stay clear of, I'm asking this because not everyone knows and some will take bad advice from channels such as Facebook, i know someone who was advised to put dishwasher salt in his pond (very toxic) things didn't go well 😮

Hi and thanks for the feedback. Now you mention it I'll certainly elaborate on the use of pond salt in the next couple of weeks. Facebook is a nightmare when it comes to bad advice, such as dishwasher salt! That's a joke. Facebook is full of clowns! 👍

Hi Steve, both ponds seen to be doing OK, would love the temps to come up a bit though. Flukes seem to be gone for now so hopefully no more parasite problems this season. Saw that you bought some new koi from Danny, hope they've settled on mate 👍

Some good advice there mate i get away with 9 hours a week on a 55w Uv down hear and that's for maybe only 5 months of the year off the rest of the time. Summer the pond runs on about 180w to 200w and winter about 80w and all off the pond solar setup. Plus now having the house solar the entire house should be running free for about 8 - 9 months of the year and half the cost for the rest. It makes me cringe some times seeing what people are powering pond wise an totting up there power use cost I wont even go into heating the bloody thing I have the house to heat that's it for me
@koicentralofficial6 ай бұрын
Thanks mate, yeah I've saved a load by only having the uv on for a few hours! Solar panels are definitely something I want to look into in the future especially when I get the second pond built 👍
