For FNF, the inputs felt weird because they _are_ weird. A number of other KZbinrs have gone over the game, and they pretty much universally noted that the base game engine sometimes drops inputs for no reason, though some mods have fixed the issue.
@tmdosu3 жыл бұрын
I also tried witty mod today. It didn't change shit. Drops imputs randomly and even if I tap on the note perfectly it doesn't register. It's so bad, hope they work more on it. If you know better mods pls tell me.
@angelicsprnkles54543 жыл бұрын
@@tmdosu I've only ever heard good things about the witty mod, though I'll profess that I haven't tried it myself. I played FNF for a little while then went back to other rhythm games pretty quickly. Maybe double check to make sure you installed it correctly? I know I've definitely had my fair share of dumb oversights in this kind of thing.

@@angelicsprnkles5454 I think reversing the notes direction messed with the imputs. I only played from top to bottom because I am used from osu!mania. I will try tomorrow the normal way.
@joao343863 жыл бұрын
@@angelicsprnkles5454 The thing with the whitty mod and the kade engine, is that people speak highly of it because it is an improvement - but it’s still far from perfect. The input drops are due to the arrows. The closer the arrows are together, the more likely the game’s anti-spam will think you’re buttonmashing even if you tap normally. If you increase the scrollspeed it mitigated the issue to a degree. This is easiest noticeable on winter horrorland, where the first few notes will miss no matter how perfect your inputs are - but if you double the scrollspeed they register without issue

But again, It's not a Rhythm game it's a platformer that you can include Rhythm in levels which is common (That's one of the reasons why so many people relate it to Rhythm games).

I beg to differ, sometimes people just throw random shit into the level and it makes gameplay, while the most sync it gets is just gamemodr change, and gameplay rarely represents the music in the more difficult levels And also creators overusing higher speed and ending the level right at the drop cause thats fun, right? Not hearing the song
@Zakrusta3 жыл бұрын
@@lootria i do understand what you mean but most of the time the levels do follow a sense of rhythm, especially timing levels. I know there are other extreme demon levels that are just purely gameplay without following music (*wink wink* killbot) but if thats the case for every level, then how the hell do creators make levels? You should also note that harder levels tend to use the Ship and Wave a lot more, which does not require as much rhythm as other gamemodes. if you check levels like Frustration, I Said Baaah, Ultra Drivers and more hard demon levels, they do use rhythm as their gameplay (especially Alkali levels) and i would know that cuz i have beaten them

I'll explain Fnf So basically the girl in the back is girlfriend, and the little fucko guy you play as is boyfriend. In the first and fourth week, you fight against Girlfriend and Boyfriends parents so you have permission to date her (even though theyre like adults) Week two is when the Monster Lemon guy sent out the Spooky Kids (from Sir Pelo) to go and try and steal the girlfriend so he can kill and eat her (Theres a hidden song for week 2) Week three is Pico (from Picos School) getting hired by the dad to go and assassinate Boyfriend, turns out Pico knew boyfriend in the past or sum so he spares him Week 5 is after you gain the trust from the parents and you decide to go to Girlfriends house for christmas, i have no idea why the monster dude is there but Week 6 (I've heard two things on the lore for it, so I'll just say the one I remember) Your playing a game with Girlfriend up in her room during Halloween (takes place after week 2), when suddenly the Dad kicks you both into the game and you have to find a way out. While your trying to find a way out, the video game guy, Senpai, starts talking to Girlfriend and tries to swoon her and win her over. You notice this and have a rap battle to see who wins her. Apparently, the dad trapped him into the game years ago and he's been trying to find a way out. He wanted to win Girlfriend over so he could get into her body and escape to get his revenge on the dad, but gets so upset at Boyfriend for ruining his plans that his soul is ripped out of his game body, and now is trying to take over Boyfriend so he can take his body to gain revenge. The names for the characters are Girlfriend Boyfriend Week One (dad) - Daddy Dearest Week Two (Spooky Kids) - Skid (skeleton) and Pump (Pumpkin) Week Three is just Pico Week Four (Mom) - Mommy Must Murder Week Five is just Monster in the code, some people call him "Lemon Monster" or "Lemon Demon" (Since his appearance and music-type is kinda like Neil Cicierega) Week Six (Video Game) - Senpai The characters dont have much of personality from what I've seen, all I know is that Girlfriend and Boyfriend are so dumb that sometimes they don't realize how much danger they're in

i mean youre right in the sense that its not a "generic" rhythm game where the notes appear on screen and you have to hit them (like osu, ddr, arcaea, etc) but i would still consider it a rhythm game. a thing that a lot of people say is that the music doesnt matter and that the level doesnt have to be synced, but i find this to be false. if i was making a level in osu i could, if i wanted to, make the notes not sync to the music, but then nobody would like my level. the same goes for geometry dash. like i said, youre right in the sense that its isnt a regular rhythm game, but saying that it flat out isnt one is just false imo. edit: i wanted to clarify that when i used the term generic i didnt mean it in a bad way. i was just using it to describe how most rhythm games more or less function pretty similarly.

quick thing if you want to know why you die so fast in whitty. so obviously when you miss a note your bar goes back for missing it and if you hit a key off a note you take a miss penalty. but what whitty does if you miss a note (so it scrolls off screen) you take the note miss penalty plus your character playes a "missed note" essentially doubling your penalty.

@joao343863 жыл бұрын
Kade engine improves it, but has it’s own share of questionable design. For example, a “bad” (late) hit deducts 1000 points, but a miss doesn’t deduct any points, making late taps more punishing than completely missing. It also has column-based notelock, as your input will always register for the arrow closest to the top of your screen unless it’s completely off.
