The older Hmong women are brainwashed to worship their husbands and told that if they leave their husbands, they will never ever be able to get a husband again. But the largest part of this is: They will have no place to die. You see, the Hmong that still believes in the old religion has this belief that when they die, the woman needs a man's religion or dab qhuas (because women cannot have dab qhuas) otherwise they will become a wondering spirit or other BS. So, Hmong women who still believes in the old religion will not want to divorce their husband even if the husband gets another wife and wants to divorce her. I'm sure you've hear many of May's stories where she said the ex-wife wants to come back to use the ex-husbands name so she has a name to die by and a place to go when she died. I don't believe these BS. Everyone turns back to ashes when they died. I too wish we have spirits but logic says this is just a belief to give us hope and make us want to live and be a good person. But I doubt it's true. I believe in a creator but I don't think we have spirits. Humans are just a higher form of animals like a dog is a higher form compared to a goldfish. Hmong is still living in the 1st century that's why Hmong is way behind other races.
