You should not feel entitled to any of the life insurance polices he purchased before your marriage. You only get what you both created together since your marriage. If he decides to share anything from before, that's up to him. Just because you are married to him, it doesn't mean that you are handed everything on a silver/gold platter (zero mile car/gold jewelry, money to send to your parents, etc), this is your mistake. Everything still boil down to the lies he told you that he will bring you to a better life but held you back instead. You were also naive to believe that all old men who brings young brides to US will be treated like queens. You have no one to blame but him and yourself. Don't blame your Ex's family/sister in law for your husband's decision. It's all your husband's fault only. If he listened to them to not allow you to pursue education/job, that's on him. Not sure why you gotta talk about your sister in law too since her story is different than yours. Don't even be sad about family not taking you in. Some parents don't even take their children back in, so don't expect your aunt who is not immediate family to take you in.
