Outstanding Red Leader!!! (Thanks a million for the link!) Easily one of the best cop dramas ever, showing the gritty, human side of being a policeman in a crime-ridden city. Crying shame it didn't go on longer, but we did get those TV movies about ten years later that are worth watching. Not quite as good as the series, but still it is awesome to see Telly play Kojak a few last times. And don't forget the TV movie that started it all in 1973 "The Belarus File".

Sorry the first '73 movie was the awesome "Marcus-Nelson Murders" that is based on a real life case concerning establishing the rights of a defendant to have their legal rights read to them before answering questions relating to the offense they're being arrested for. You know, Miranda! 😉 👌

I just happened to think when the police who were in their patrol car heard the shots fired they immediately turned on their siren and went to investigate. They didn’t stop to worry about what danger they might be heading into they just went to try to help. Sometimes I don’t think that I appreciate them enough. My daughter-in-law is a police officer. She used to be full time but she has a dog 🐶 grooming business now but she has kept her credentials up to date and she’s in the reserves and can be called upon if she’s needed. 😊😊😊

@@chrisgarwood8769: Hi Chris, I took a look on the box set but could not find the region information. I am based in the UK. From memory I know that we use the PAL system while you in America are on SECAM so most probably these dvds won’t work in The States. I have another YT channel where I have and am building a library of classic films in various categories. With nothing being offered by the woke media I have decided to build my own film library and to share with like minded folk. Why not give it a whirl. FYI I make no financial gain. I disliked the Kojak series. The oblique dialog and unconvincing acting did not do it for me.

What the hell happened to this show??? It was great to begin with, but the later seasons were too depressing and horrible. Such a terrible shame.
