I have been looking for this type of collection for years. When I started looking into who wrote the music in the games I played when I was a kid I realized it was all the same person. All of these games now years later are still using his same 8 bit soundtrack for the basis of their songs. Doki Doki Panic sounds like it’s from SMB2 because SMB2 was what DDP was changed to fir the US market as SMB2. You can see the cover art for DDP has Wart, Birdo and Shy Guys. DDP had a family as the protagonists, which was changed to Mario, Luigi, Toad and the Princess.

This version of the track was in the first release of Ocarina, but then Nintendo figured out they were using a sample of a muslim prayer. So in later reprints of the game they decided to change it to a synthetic chorus in order to not offend anyone. The track you can hear in this video was ripped from the game files, because it was never released by Nintendo on a soundtrack CD.

Kondo didn't compose music for it. Taisuke Araki made the soundtrack for the Game Boy version and Kazumi Totaka for Wave Race 64.
