The crazy part is is this man knows multiple evolving endings of the story straight up from the source he was close friends with him for years so I can only imagine that he has to make the decision on which variation or which one to choose (not an easy feat). That’s a hard decision that they were good friends so hopefully he has some idea on what. And what would honor his work

I still do think that Griffith will get his comeuppance at the end of this story somehow. How Mori writes it and pulls all of it together will really determine people's outlook of the ending.

In cases like these, I always remind people of the "Death of the Author" mode of critique (not the best choice of words for this case, but that is, in fact, what it's called). That is to say, the text exists outside of the person writing it, and it should be analyzed for its own merit and not just for the skills/history/experiences of a single author. Also known as Formalism or New Critical analysis by literary nerds like me. That's not to say the author has no part in the story, but that a story can be read without the analysis as being tied to the author. It's a kind of reading technique that's really meant to make a nonbias analysis of the story as a whole without using our biases for who the author is, to appreciate a story, hopefully even seeing meanings that the author himself did not intend from the work but gives more value to it. Sometimes, you just have to step back from something being X author's work and appreciate a story for what it is regardless of how many people are writing it. That's my take of the matter at least. That, yes, the story will get influenced by whoever is writing it, but that doesn't mean you have to read it that way and you can enjoy the work as it is.

It's inevitable there will be SOME changes. Speaking as someone who wrote fan fiction, a writer may realize some story ideas don't work as the story is written, and change plans; as he's not the original writer, Mori Koji can't and won't change them the exact same way Miura Kentaro could and would. But I hope Mori will keep the changes IN-CHARACTER with what was portrayed during the past 35 years. NO ONE wants to see 'Berserk' "updated for modern audiences," as the TALENTLESS HACKS working at Marvel and DC Comics FALSELY CLAIM.

Koji Mori already made changes to Berserk, Guts is simp crybaby not the warrior, we love, Farnese the healing witch is discard character not helping Guts, Casca is a Mario brothers Prince Peach situation in a Castle, I am not a fan of Guts and Casca relation, no one notice the point Kentaro Mirua was making chapter 72 and 73 why Casca chose Griffith over Guts it not loyalty, but loved. Guts is tragic character that fighting against Berserk World, he has to be conquered this obstacle in his way in the most violent realistic Seinen Manga written, but now Guts and Berserk is shonen manga what a joke.

I don't think that's totally fair. I saw these initial chapters as Mori needing to kind of wipe the slate clean in order to approach the endgame in a cogent and coherent fashion. Obviously things will be different than Miura's vision, but I'd just like to see a good resolution no matter how long it takes.
